If u a true boxing fight am sure u can think of a bunch of other fighters who have one great career win and a bunch of losses or just not enough motivation to chase greatness
Yeah, this waa dudes moment in the spotlight. H never performed like this before, and never would again. Funny thing is, this is the fight where Vlad realize th potential of his greater weapon, a very effective, powerful, and not very exhausting punch...the jab. His use of it became legendary lm
@@coolnerdsclothing6377 Not necessarily. He had a game plan and stuck to it. Fighters that are relatively inexperienced have used game plans to win against seasoned vets. It's whether or not the game plan used was the correct one.
I dont know why Vlad stopped going to the body... drop the mans guard.. then start feinting the body shots and going up top with uppercuts and hooks... fight over 8th rd... if that
Experience in what ever field you work in is priceless. Learning how something works and what makes it don't work, is an on the job experience. That's what my grandfather told me, this is a perfect example.
This is just why big names rarely give "obscure" fighters a chance. The champ has everything to lose & nothing to gain. The obscure has everything to gain & nothing to lose. Props to Klitschko for giving him a shot!
Also klitchkos camp thought it was going to be another notch added to their belt ..the reason why they agreed to take on the fight ..lol so I won't give him too much praise ..he thought it was a clear win .. until Ross purity displayed the recipe for the win. . And baked that cake . Good fight .
If the undefeated boxer was smart, he would've threw some body shots after he seen the opponent blocked most of the headshots. Lol! He's a great start up dog though
The underdog learned that technique from the Greatest Boxer of all time, Muhammad Ali. Wear out your opponent then come in for the kill. Guys need to learn that it’s the Scientific fighter who always comes out on top. Let me add one important Caveat… The Boxer must read his opponent’s strength to hurt him. Only when he’s sure that the opponent will not hurt him from the barrage of punches can he rightfully let him wear himself out and then come in with his deadly assault & finish him off.
He lost because he under estimated him! He didn't control his stamina! His punches were ineffective! Every punch you throw you must make it count! He failed to do that. I would blame his trainer for not warning him to change his tactics.
Too many fighters got in the ring with Vladamir without the mindset of how dangerous he is. Purity did not, he had respect for how much of a beast Vladamir was. He would have gotten knocked out if he tried to match him. Great coaching.
Who stopped the fight? This guy is lucky to have a coach who doesn't care about the money but he care about the life of his athlete when he's in danger and he doesn't want to give up because of his honor.
That's strategy vs tactics. Strategy always wins. At time it may seem stange and confusing. But if you stick with it, you win. It's like bird's eye view vs tunnel vision.

The Manager is a smart and compassionate man. He didn't just save his career that night, but his long term health as well.
And his man went on to be heavy weight champ and one of the greatest fighters ever
He used Muhammad Ali's technique to exhaust the opponent and then KO sharply.

He did the Ali vs. George Foreman on they ass. 😮
