    the end of this show makes me sad.

      Yes me too. And not because it was a tragic ending where everyone died brutally, but because the writing was so terrible that even with the Starks winning and the Lannisters defeated, it feels bad.

      Yeah the ending will never be forgotten, most notably the whole final season was just terrible and rushed. But do you know what’s worse than that? George isn’t going to finish the books, so that means the only ending we’re getting is from the TV show unfortunately. It’s such a shame, I’ve honestly stopped caring at this point.

      It made me laugh personally, they couldn’t alienate the fanbase more if they tried.

    "Three men IN the kingdoms who MIGHT have a chance against me."
    Implying these men are alive, in Westeros (as far as Jamie knows), Jamie knows them and has seen them in action, and Jamie doesn't necessarily think they would beat him, but that they're good enough to take advantage if he slips up just a little. Assuming that since the quote happened on the show only characters in the show are in play, even if we haven't been introduced to them yet, I'd say two are Gregor Clegane just because of his freakish strength and Barristan Selmy due to his widely known skill and Jamie probably doesn't know he's gone to Essos, if he's even left at the point this takes place. For the third I'd go with Oberyn Martell, just because Jamie has known him since they were young and definitely knows his reputation. Sandor Clegane and Beric Dondarrion are other likely candidates, but in spite of being experienced and capable warriors I doubt Jamie considers them good enough to have a chance one-on-one.

      @albdeno 4 года назад +8

      One of them is for sure Greatjon Umber in the books he acknowledge him as someone quote "who might have chance to beat me". And he for sure know the Clegane brothers. I think that is. He doesn't know a shit about Oberyn, reputation doesn't mean nothing. But if not both Clegane brothers he know for sure how good Barristan Selmy is he is still one of the greatest swordsman who ever lived. I don't think he know Qhorin Halfhang cause if he does, he is strong candidate.

    • @billybones1694
      @billybones1694 4 года назад +7

      @@albdeno He did know Oberyn personally from when Oberyn, Elia, and their mother visited to attempt to arrange a marriage. It was widely known that Oberyn preferred a spear though so if Jamie was talking about swords alone he would be out. I doubt he sees Sandor as anything more than a smaller version of Gregor who he probably would have fought at Tyrion's trial if he'd still had his right hand. You're probably right about him not knowing Qhorin. I doubt he would have thought highly of any member of the Night's Watch anyway. Loras Tyrell is a possibility. Truth is the writers probably didn't put that line in for any reason other than to give people something to debate.

      George once said that it's fair to make the argument that Loras Tyrell could be considered the best active fighter in Westeros at around this time. I'm not sure how well the show treated Loras, but I'd say that he's probably more likely than Oberyn.

    • @billybones1694
      @billybones1694 2 года назад

      @@forenamesurname252 Loras was a pretty good character in the show, and they portrayed him as a great swordsman. However, since he was relatively young I don't think Jaime's cockiness would have allowed him to view Loras as a serious contender. Who knows though.
