I truly thought that we'd cycled across that bridge for nothing, that we wouldn't be able to get onto the island, but then... the shuttle van arrived! In Ontario, crews would have told us to turn back, that there was nothing they could do. It was refreshing to be in a province that doesn't just leave cyclists stranded.
