"The most underrated part of San Francisco"? Excuse me but, this land was never meant to be built on to this extent. The fact is, Mission Bay is landfill that is basically sand and asphalt on top of water. Liquefaction is the process where tremors or even moderate earthquakes will move like waves underneath the foundations of structures and cause catastrophic collapse. The 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake caused a section of the Bay Bridge to collapse just a mile away from this new park. The Embarcadero Freeway suffered so much structural damage that it had to be torn down. Mission Bay was never underrated. But, with the warming of the planet, rising sea level and a myriad of earthquake faults surrounding it, Mission Bay is simply not a safe part of the city to build high rise steel and concrete structures or, parks that will eventually be underwater. Be informed and know the facts!
@@craigjgomez Au contraire. Anyone that has worked in SoMa like myself knows about the earthquake plan and the meeting zones. Yes, we had to walk miles to get to a bedrock spot. Don't remember the exact meeting spot anymore. Another 'bro thinking he's Mensa when in reality his IQ is 100. Regardless, the SF park system is awesome!
With rising sea level, it has been predicted that the third street corridor will be 2 feet under water by 2035. That includes all of Mission Bay from Chase Center to the Giant's Ball Park. Because the eastern portion of SF Bay is below sea level, it has been predicted that all of the Embarcadero east and going south from 2nd Street to San Francisco International Airport will be under water. You see how well the city has dealt with Millennium Tower, just wait till your beautiful new park turns into an underwater relic in short order. What fools believe. Great title for a song.
lol, all these weird dudes in the comments. If they ever get to hookup with someone, they'll be thinking about homeless people instead of enjoying the hookup.
they keep saying homelessness is a problem but don't actually want to do anything about it because if they did they wouldn't have anything to complain about anymore
@@rickyfox67 Can't fix homeless problem without fixing the drug problem. It goes hand in hand. IMO. we should legalize the everything except opioids type drugs and meth. Those are the ones that make people zombies.
JUST LISTED! New construction of rare gorgeous bay front unhoused living space made of reclaimed material designed as a perfect environment with you in mind! Enjoy open floor plans, warm sunshine, unobstructed views, running water, limited public access, climate change protection for generations, and most of all - incredible income potential during events!
OMG 32 million, really?????? As if San Francisco doesn't have more pressing issues that could have used that 32 million!!!!!!! That mayor and governor need to not only go, but be investigated!!!!!!! 👍😱
The most underrated part of San Francisco: the vast network of parks. Golden Gate park alone makes up 3% of the total city.

I love California especially San Francisco, let’s go Guerreros😊
Wonderful City🇺🇸
I made a video of the park this past Sunday. It's definitely gonna be the place to hang out before the Warriors and Giants games. :)

I wonder how they're going to deal with the homeless trying to move in.
6 years of construction just for that 1 parking lot size piece of land. It's the Kamal dream.
What's a Kamal dream?

Beachfront options now for tent encampments.
Oh so how long will this park stay beautiful before the city homeless take over?
Homeless tents already 😂
Nice, they built a new park for the homeless
Perfect place for all.the homeless to hang out.
Another place for the homeless to set up camp.
Well done. Completely inaccessible to an entire demographic
