I bet Tyler Peterson has been training like an insane person. He wanted it so bad last year and I think he's even hungrier this year. The semi-final is the real final this year, imo.

@@sdotwallacedon’t sleep on zach bro, two things he has for days are consistency and stamina. had he made that back heel the video would’ve been at least another minute and a half. also (and this is absolutely no offense to either of them) jamie is like the mayweather of flatground: he plays it extremely safe. not to say that’s not a great strategy, but getting shut out by him isn’t a very uncommon thing because of it.

Zach is absolutely incredible. That defense was amazing. Jamie is a flat ground phenomenon. Where Zach absolutely rips at everything. I doubt anyone is going to defend against Jamie that well.

Even though Jamie had no letters in this game, this game still felt very competitive. Zach held his own for a whiiiiiiiile! I instantly subscribed to his channel after this battle.
Matching the double hardflip, has got to be one of the best moments ever of BATB.

Bartons game was one of the best. Not the cleanest or most serious game, but I was suprised to see the outcome of Jamie vs Jeff in the EŚ game.

Anyone who says Griffin has no style should watch That game to see him side-by-side with Jeff.
DeChez defended a clear impossible with the most “3-shove” 3-shove that ever 3-shoved, with visible airspace between him and the board for the entire 360 degrees, and someone called it out in the comments, and the dude comes in to defend himself, saying that even if he knew he failed to do an impossible, the judges didn’t notice, so he should get to take credit and not re-do or take a letter.
I don’t know what’s funnier, openly admitting he Knowingly got away with credit for a basic trick he can’t do, or him reading through all the comments and getting in a fight with all the people calling him out.

I legit don't see any competition for Jamie this year, he has to have an off day to get beaten by someone. He doesn't fail on basics and has the most impressive end-game tricks.

Luan would end jamie if given a set. Luan is too intimidating for Jamie.
Luan always goes too hard and pays for it. Fast and pops high, but will miss tricks for it when he has them down easy

I like the funky shuv's from Jamie, it's almost like he just started skating, which is insane given the things he can land.
I think those were quite normal shuv's. Some a bit sketch. Zach, on the other hand, had INSANE pop on his.

I'm not surprised at the outcome, but I did honestly think there was a good chance it could go either way. Jamie has insane offense, and Zach clearly has insane defense. So this was almost the unstoppable force vs immovable object, but Jamie is just out of this world.

That might be one of the best games of SKATE ever, The defense from Zach was insane! But just the fact Zach couldn't grind Jamie down when on offence just shows how strong Jamie is!
Jamie may have gone super slow and barely popped a lot of these tricks but he proved that he has the basics down every try as well as the crazy wizard tricks. I was worried when Zach got his turn after what happened to Jonny but now he seems even more unbeatable.

Yeah. Also if something is a trick you don’t do every day such that it has its “ideal feel” wired into your current skate life, then it’s best to do the highest-probability version of the trick, which isn’t hauling ass and blasting high.
there’s a reason why we respect when skaters (including Griffin) do things fast and high: it’s Harder
…and SKATE is about maximizing consistency, not minimizing it for stunt cred.
but, IF you’ve been doing Trick X every day medium-high recently, then you should do it that way in SKATE also, because that’ll be most familiar, most dialed-in.

imo jamie learned from the zach vs giger round that zach's strategy is to exhaust the opponent, so he tried to conserve as much energy as possible when he was in the defense side

Man i think that Jamie, in this battle, got one of the highest percentages of tricks landed in comparison to the total of tries. Not only because he didn't take any letter, but also because he only missed once and the game was long! Is truly amazing too see how much flatground has evolved in the last decade.
