  • For Christmas, we bought ourselves the Saluspa Hawaii Hydrojet 4-6 person Hot Tub ( amzn.to/45W9Vvu )
    We put the hot tub spa in our garage so it wouldn’t have to combat the bitter cold NJ winter and also for the added privacy. So far we have been in it pretty much every day since we got it and have been loving it.
    I go through the steps of preparing for the hot tub in an indoor space.
    1. Laying down Foam Insulated Mats: amzn.to/3svXWqG
    2. Laying Down Waterproof Painters Tarp: amzn.to/3niyKOS
    Then the steps to prepare hot tub:
    1. Remove contents and allow hot tub to expand
    2. Inflate hot tub with provided pump/heater unit
    3. Connect hot tub to pump/heater
    4. Connect Filter Housing in hot tub
    5. Fill Hot Tub to Minimum Fill Line
    6. Turn Heater On.
    7. Inflate Hot Tub Cover and strap over hot tub
    8. Wait ~24 hours for initial heating
    9. Uncover and Enjoy with Bubbles!
    Maintenance Kit:
    - Bromine Spa Test-Strips: amzn.to/3zJYCbm
    - Bromine 1" Tabs: amzn.to/3r1aUYU
    - Skimmer: amzn.to/33dtO6O

    I've looked at some Hawaii Saluspa's and apparently they're not all bubbles and jets? I'd really like both like you have. Is there anyway you can help, like with your model number or something? Thank you for your time!

      Yea no issues in the garage although we moved it outside in the summer. Yea we defiantly are happy we bought it. Allows us to extend our pool season with a warm place to retreat too.

    • @Famvestor
      @Famvestor  Год назад +3

      There is a hose attachment at the bottom you can screw a regular garden hose to and drain it to the street.
      The sheets are just some painters tarp.

      We are in Japan right now for a year. So put it away before we moved. But it was working fine, no issues. Just the proper maintenance that I mentioned in the video.

  • @arrepuess
    @arrepuess 7 месяцев назад

    Thanks for the video. However, I’ve been looking all over and my two only questions are:
    are you supposed to leave the heat set to a certain degree while not in use for quicker heat up? Also. How much more did your electric bill increase? I am guessing inflatables are not as. Insulated as foam ones?

    • @Famvestor
      @Famvestor  6 месяцев назад

      Yea not as insulated... but electric bill wasnt too significantly increased, although i dont pay attention to it too carefully.
      Yea although it takes a long time for the water to heat-up, like if its 50 degrees, it could take 6 hours before its back at 100 degrees. So we kept it hot most times, and only at a safe 50 degrees when we knew we werent goign to use it for a week or so.

    Just to be clear, do you leave your garage door open for ventilation just well your using the hot tub? or you leave the door open 24/7?

    • @Famvestor
      @Famvestor  Год назад +1

      No not 24/7, there is no humidity when it is sealed with the cover. We only left the door open, when we were actively in the tub.

    Heyy I'm about to put one in a 3 room tent.. my question for you is.. How do you change the water

    • @Famvestor
      @Famvestor  2 года назад

      So we’ve only done it once in the 3 months we’ve owned it. But there is an outlet plug at the very bottom that you just open up and the whole thing drains. You can connect a hose to it to direct the discharging water. We connected the hose so it emptied out from our garage right into the street drains.

  • @joele528
    @joele528 2 года назад +2

    Great video! Do you think it is ok to put it in the garage long term without causing any mold or wall damage? Does it produce a lot of moisture in the air?

    • @Famvestor
      @Famvestor  2 года назад +2

      We do leave the garage door into the house open to help with moisture. With the cover on I don’t think it’s a problem at all. But when it’s on bubble mode it doesn’t produce a decent amount of moisture.
      I was a bit worried my bike chains would start to rust, but doesn’t seem to be an issue, and there is some glass on the speedometer of my road bike and if the door is open that won’t fog with moisture so I feel likes it’s okay.

    During inflation, do you have to manually stop the pump or is it designed to stop to prevent over inflation?

    • @Famvestor
      @Famvestor  4 месяца назад

      It’s designed to never over inflate, but doesn’t stop inflating on its own, it just lets the extra pressure out on its own while it’s pumping.

      I don’t the cover seals it well. I do notice the smell one it’s open but it dissipates quickly and doesn’t linger. I am using bromine though and I think I general it doesn’t smell as much as chlorine.
