Great place for bashing. Perfect for Traxxas UDR 👍🏻 I have the same problem with cutting power off or too early LVC. Find out that ESC wasnt ok. Replaced it with Hobbywing and problem is gone 😅
Diamond Dust 2 huh... This has got to be: 1. An old dirbike track OR SOMETHIN! Those whoops sections are not normal lol! 2. THE MOST abusive terrain/gravel/dirt/powder ground composition I have ever saw! This will destroy ANY vehicle! 3. ULTIMATE PROVING GROUNDS! 😂😂☠☠ You nearly need sand paddles for this stuff!!! Looks like some amazing trails for 4 wheelers or snowmobiles in the winter!!!
Put a little electric tape around your batterie connector it helps it stay together while you bash that’s what I do with my granite my granite is all the time shutting off because I use batterie adapter to change my batteries over to that style using tape definitely helps those connectors from coming loose on you and stops the car from shutting off so much 👍
Hello friend I am in sunny Florida today and now I know why you rip so early it’s toasty here on this side of our great country 🇺🇸no dirt bikes for me that’s how I got a fused back and titanium neck Rc is the only way to play.🤩
I like the max 2 allot but still like the arrma outcast better. Just think it’s a better looking rig all around. Cple kinks to work out but shld be a excellent truck. Like the Max!! 👍
I have been running a Traxxas Maxx V2 for a while now and have had no problems at all with any of the electronics or running gear. I run in an ORV park that is nothing but sand and rocks, its the only area that provides enough room to run tracks and do some good hill climbing. That area that you call "Diamond Dust" might be an old silica pit like one that is north of where I live. I probably won't ever run any of my RC cars there because of what silica dust/sand will do to it vs "normal" sand. I also have to qualify what I've stated with the fact that I don't own anything but Traxxas, a Slash Ultimate and a TRX-4 Defender and this Maxx V2. Haven't had an issue of any kind with any of them! They have all ran perfectly right out of the box. When it comes to vented vs non-vented tires, I have come to the conclusion that venting the tires or rims leads to more trouble than it's worth for me! I've gone to "no vents" at all and have been pretty satisfied with the performance and don't have the water and sand getting in there messing things up anymore. When I get more experienced with crawling, I may have to look at venting there, but for high performance driving and hill climbing, I am happy with non vented. The owner of Hobby Town where I live, was telling me that for the Maxx V2, I should consider a set of belted tires for the kind of driving that I'm into. I think that he's right, there's just enough "ballooning" going on at the speed threshold you hit that does throw performance off by a lot! And I also think that I should go to a thicker shock oil in the rear... I spent 3 hours thismorning running the Maxx out at the ORV park and having a blast! The only problem right now is the "cheat grass"! Every time that I got cocky and tried to take the banked turn at 40 mph, if I wasn't really watching my driving, I would go flying off that bank and out into the cheat grass! :) I spent a lot of time when I got home picking that stuff out of every nook and cranny that it found in my Maxx! :) I don't feel that the Maxx V2 is difficult to drive or has design issues that make it hard to drive or control, it handles extremely well on a track or open road. I'm very curious about those belted tires and how they will improve or help my driving education though! Always love watching your videos Guy! Maybe one day, I'll get my hands on one of the Arrma Outcasts in 4s and see what I think and how she stacks up against my Maxx! Hope that you get that fix they're working on soon! Anyway Brother, thank you for always providing great videos and friendly content! I really appreciate it and please know that YOU had a lot to do with my getting into RC! Sorry for being so "wordy", but sometimes I get started and can't shut up! :)
Ok Guy since our first conversation about the Mjx 14210 which I love I’m stuck on which rig to get this WideMaxx or 1:8 Notorious 6s V5 BLX . After this vid and the way that WideMaxx rips😮!! 🤔 help me lean towards one or the other. I have 6 rigs from Arrma and only 1 from Traxxas my rustler let me know brother and thanks 😊
@@YungStun if you already have that many armas and only one Traxxas, then you should opt to get the Traxxas. Parts will be cheap. It is completely plastic has good gearing and you can eventually swap out the electronics. If you do not like the VXL 4s system to a hobby Wing that will give you more punch per se and tunability for the ESC. Traxxas builds a very good plastic RC
I don't agree with that auto flip junk. Guarantee short life for something in the drive line. Great spot to get out for a long walk with your rc!!! Great exercise👍 The v2 definitely moves out fast, still flips easy with the longer arms. Those woops look like a blast to rip around on. I better be felling better to get out and get a good rip in. Almost a week now no rc fun.
I know the video is a bit older but I have a question; do you cover up the venting holes in the wheels before you drive in terrain like this, or what is your method? I took my Maxx v2 out in similar terrain the other day. After about 3 packs the tires were filled with sand and like 2 pounds heavier.. Cut some holes in the tires but can´t seem to get all the sand out. Bought new tires und just covered up the venting holes so no dirt can come in. I don´t do speed runs and with bashing it doesn´t effect the driving really.. Thanks and please keep making your videos! :-) EDIT: OMG; sorry, at the 15 minute mark you mention the issue . 😛 I´m telling you its coming in through the venting holes in the rim..
This is where Arrma at least has one thing right with venting the tires everything has a drawback that offsets the benefit You just have to pick and choose which one you want
Venting the tire it may take a little bit of time to get the sand out but it will work especially when releasing water and it definitely does help to have the sand be dry
@@rcguygarage Thanks for the tips. I put 4 like 3mm holes in the tires. I got most of the sand out by shaking but they´re still wicked out of balance, there´s still some dirt in there. I guess by just using them eventually the sand will get flung out. Still though, I´ll keep the holes on new tires covered up with tape. Even put an extra layer of glue so they won´t come of the wheel. I´m mostly driving the Maxx on 3s, which is plenty power for me. :-) So the tires won´t be strung that much.

It's the tires, rounded tread with big lugs at the sidewall, they dig in and cause torque steer 🤔🙂
Today i was out with my maxx v2 and my X-Maxx😊😎
a dust cover goes a long way in places like this for short money
Nice , definitely looks like a place the UDR would perform well at

Don't worry about being wordy it shows your interest Andy passion in your resolve to share. 👍💯👊
Nice rip guy! That is another cool spot!! 💯
Perfect spot for the UDR or the SBR.
I think both trucks are amazing 👍👍✌️
They are
Awesome truck and video
Change the Tires to the Arrma Backflip LP and put 1000cst in the Shocks. Way better handling. Reduce the rollover a lot.
Yes👍💯
good truck did you see riallro makes a mini vfersion it even has same body system . i would say co. here for good time not for a longtime lol

Yes the auto self right is still cool tech though
Yea cool but it is traxxas making sure you buy replacement parts.
I look at it as unnecessary wear and tare on parts. Just walk over and flip it over.
Need some suspension tuning and better tires. Then she will be ready
It did fairly good out of the box too 👍💯I was shocked
Any issues with the adapters? I just replaced all my TRX connectors with IC5 connectors. So much better.
I HATE Adapters

Tape the holes
nice beat down on the traxxas. just for the Arrma fanboys lol 😆
Area 51 dude
Yep
Maybe try out a cheap amazon trx battery and see if they're worth it rather than an adapter. I got a 2s for $15 that seems be doing good so far.
The adapter was just loose at the EC5 connection. It's all good now👍💯
How's the front bulkhead? The front skid is popped out ?🤔
Running that thing around power lines probley screwing with it
Unknown on that but it seemed to run fine👍
does that once in while esp with adapters trx escs tuned very low
What is a good remote for this truck? Thanks
Odd question. Stock is fine. Otherwise you'll lose the paid for capability.
What batteries do you run or would you recommend
Hi, can i put 3s 6000mah or 6500mah battery on traxxas maxx?
It's not the MAH it's the case size and Traxxas lists the battery box size on the website or in the manual
Looks fun but way too dusty for my taste.
Bro,is maxx strong than 1/8 buggy, what do you think!
What buggy???
@@rcguygarage like hobao vs2, good night bro
Honestly they are two totally different vehicles you cannot compare them it's like comparing a Prius to a Ford F-350
