I have been watching ww2 stop motion films for about 6-7 years now, and this is easily one of the best I have seen. The lighting might and minifigures might not be the best, but the angles, movement of the minifigures, and the firefights are all very realistic. I'm looking forward to seeing more stop motion animations from you.
Great video and underrated channel! For historical context, the Dieppe Raid was meant to be a failure and as a result, many casualties were Canadian. At the time of the raid in 1942, the Soviet Union was under immense pressure and pressured the Western Allies to open a second front. The Allies to demonstrate that they were not prepared to open a second front launched the Dieppe Raid. Thus, the raid was a defeat before the battle even began, but important lessons were learned that helped make D-Day a success 2 years later.
Cheezy, your animations are unique in that they act as sort of a bridge between old animations and new ones. The figures and sets, but the effects, animation, and camera angles really give it that special feel, so that nobody could properly imitate it. Good job.
😉👍Very greatly and spectacularly wonderfully well done on all of the aspects of the battle indeed, A very fabulously wonderful production and a job well done on the Dieppe Raid indeed Sir's!👌.
Where to begin the movement is so fluent and natural. I watched it a second time to just see the animations, the sound is very good and the lighting set the tone it was light when it needed to be light and it was dark when it was supposed to be dark. It's overall a perfect lego animation and is the best one I've seen so far I would really like to see you make another one soon
you give the minifigs so much realism in the form of weight and recoil, also when they die i almost feel it. too good bro also you really motivated me to keep on animating.
Spectacular work. Everything about this was perfectly executed from the cinematography (lighting, Camara angles, Camara movement etc...) to the smooth and impactful animation. I really loved the gritty and brutal tone that really conveyed how horrible war is. The use of your sets was also really well done, it felt large and diverse in terms of the structures and design. The voice acting was good but lacked volume a lot of the time and could have been louder. The sound design was crisp, clean and accurate. Nicely done.
DAWG, I don’t even know where to start. The audio, effects, movement, positioning was all flawless. I have been watching stopmotions for at least 9 years, and I have seen very few that match this level of depth. Very well done, I am in complete awe. 👏👏👏
full thing looks so good, but you can tell the giant improvement in animation change halfway! both are amazing but the second half shows your true potential
the best ww2 lego stop motion i've ever seen because you strictly used legos and no cgi like the others do and that make it less interesting. I really hope you will continue doing those so well.
This is definitely one off the best lego ww2 animation and I'm really excited off more like stalingrad or Guadalcanal and I really hope I will be as good as you
This is more realistic than half the World War Two movies made today. And it’s based on a relatively unknown battle of the Second World War! Great work. Truly terrific
This.... this was brilliant. I held my breath watching it. The animation coupled with the sublime sound and voice work was incredible. Your work is stellar sir
This is one of the best ww2 stop motions I’ve ever seen! I also really like the minifigures uniforms and the faces I feel give them a classic vibe. Don’t stop the great work!
This is probably the best Lego War stop motion I've ever seen. The movements, the voice acting, it's all so good. By the way, I am Historian Animations. You might remember me as the guy who entered to your contest with a Stalingrad stopmotion. My channel died in 2020 a few months after we had moved. I attempted to revive it in 2021 but practically everybody had forgotten about the channel by then so it died again. Then, just a few days ago, I decided to return to animating. The source of inspiration was you and the return of MrPearlJack. This is my new channel for a fresh start. Thank you very much for the motivation to get back to animating.
I've been watching Lego stopmotions since I was a kid, and I've attempted my own enough to realize how difficult it is. This channel is horrendously underrated for the sheer quality of it. The weight, speed and consistency of movement is amazing I love how they run, burst through doors and run like real weighed down soldiers. I also love how old and sort of grimey the minifigs are. Great way of making them look like beat up veteran soldiers as compared to factory new figures. I'd love to see you make a stopmotion with tanks and other vehicles, like the saving private Ryan final battle perhaps.
This was bad ass! This is up there with JD Brick Productions WW2 videos. The weight of the impacts and the death animations were top notch. Felt like I was watching Saving Private Ryan but in lego.
This looks so much better together! You should do what dwalker did with the 50 minute black hawk down thing. Make separate 7 minute videos and overtime add them together
The animation is absolutely on point and the Raid itself is such a forgotten battle. This animation really brings it to life and portrays something not often portrayed (I mean the only amphibious operation most people know is Normandy...). One problem though---where are the Churchills? Dieppe was their first combat use! (then again they never made it off the beaches, so...)
Yo bro this is actually some of the best cinematography I’ve seen in a LEGO film you really have mastered the art of making a Great War brick film I look forward to seeing what comes of this channel I would definitely love to support the patreon
This is such a good example of how you can still achieve good cinematography simply because of the placement and movement of the camera. Even though the quality of an iPhone camera is limited, you manage to make it look so good, with fantastic animation to boot.
You did a great job! I love the practical special effects, your camera work and most importantly your storytelling evoked a true feeling of realism and emotion not normally seen in brick film. Keep up the good work!
Fantastic work. Yes, the raid was a disaster, however, it gave the allies valuable information about conducting amphibious lands which in turn was utilised during D-Day. It was, a successful failure.
This is sooo good! I wish I could animate this well! And the fact that this was all filmed using an Iphone 8 while only using IMovie to edit makes it more insanely good! I also love the practical effects, I don’t know any other animator who can use practical effects that well
Bruh!!! 50 seconds in and this is already priceless!! This is incredibly smooth and the camera movements give it a amazing and unique style, along with the head moving up and down with the dead guy. Love this bro. It's incredible, no words. 👍🏼👍🏼

Have you gotten monotiezed yet?
How do u have so many British minifigs
This is JD productions quality, glad to see more good stopmotion makers appearing
I have been watching ww2 stop motion films for about 6-7 years now, and this is easily one of the best I have seen. I think is to give it a classic vibe
My man speaks facts
Yeah I love the look of the minifigs reminds me of when I was like 10 watching these forever ago
Your right the motion is perfect and fire fight!
I personally think the Minifigs look good and the lighting is realistic
Great video and underrated channel!

My grandad was the ship’s doctor onboard HMS Garth during this raid… thank you for bringing this piece of history to life 😊
I thank him for his service!
the recoil is so realistic!
Cheezy, your animations are unique in that they act as sort of a bridge between old animations and new ones. The figures and sets, but the effects, animation, and camera angles really give it that special feel, so that nobody could properly imitate it. Good job.
i like the minifigs something about the sticker shirts and old yellow heads gives it a gritty and dirty feeling which is perfect.
i ADORE the sound design, most lego movies fall short on this small but very important compartment and you guys nailed it out of the park
😉👍Very greatly and spectacularly wonderfully well done on all of the aspects of the battle indeed, A very fabulously wonderful production and a job well done on the Dieppe Raid indeed Sir's!👌.
I love how crazy and how many things are happening at the same time
Where to begin the movement is so fluent and natural. Thank you
I like the absence of the music score, making the scenes feel that much more alive. In short:
The only orchestra to war are the sections of gunfire
This is one of the best stop motion films I have ever seen
you give the minifigs so much realism in the form of weight and recoil, also when they die i almost feel it. too good bro
also you really motivated me to keep on animating.
this blew me away man genuinely the best stop motion ive seen in years
Ah yes, the full version is finally here
You've done it again my friend, you've done it again.
This is the one of the best lego ww2 stop motion I've ever seen I've been watching lego stop motion 5 to 8 years
Love the SM love how you did the movement when they were injured or walking all in all you did good
I really love how you added the detail where their heads just dangle if they die or get shot
Spectacular work. Everything about this was perfectly executed from the cinematography (lighting, Camara angles, Camara movement etc...) to the smooth and impactful animation. This is so..... perfect. I have no other words to describe this legendary masterpiece.

I don't notice much of a change besides the use of bricks to cotton, but thanks!
this is one of the best stop motions ever e love the movement
I love your historical videos
the best ww2 lego stop motion i've ever seen because you strictly used legos and no cgi like the others do and that make it less interesting. I really hope you will continue doing those so well.

I love the animation to the minifigures
Omg amazing cheezy another great idea and too films that were great together I myself film plastic army men

Man, I know it’s been a while but this is probably the best stop motion I’ve seen. This man right here is the future of world war 2 stop motions.

I will give this a 🎉10/10🎉
This.... this was brilliant. I held my breath watching it. The animation coupled with the sublime sound and voice work was incredible. Your work is stellar sir
This is great! It has amazing stop motion, but the way its shot is reminiscent of the older days of lego animation.
This might be one of the best animated stop motion films I've ever seen
Thanks for giving us accurate and be it badass representation means a lot that there’s a dieppe stop motion out there.
This is the the best stop motion I have ever seen.
I love the realism in this and the stop motion is very great 👍
Your evolution as a filmmaker has been phenomenal. Truly made it
Thank you. Btw, I'm currently making a short American Psycho animation
@@cheezyballz impressive, very nice. lets see paul allens stopmotion

Wow that was so amazing! It just felt so realistic and full of action! Can’t wait to see another stop motion 😊

This by far my favourite lego stop motion animation

Its crazy how far people can go out of there way to make these very smooth and crazy animations like this keep up the good work cheezy
Love the animations and we are twins!!
It's easy to see just how much effort you've put into this, and I think we're all very excited for your next film
I prefer these kinds of figures to the other modern ones, the different heads are cool to see! Wonderful work, hope to see more like it!

*what an excellent idea to make it a whole 10 min film instead of two parts :>*
It is two parts

That felt like a movie 😊❤
I always preferred the practical effects in these ww2 stop motions. Well done 👍
