    Fun routine but all three landings were bobbled. This is a 9.85 at best.

    The scoring is out of control and the choreo is childlike Karolyi inspired

      That is EXACTLY what I thought! It’s time for some of these gymnasts to have more sophisticated choreography.

      Maybe KJ really just wanted Ragan to have more cowbell.

      @@JB-sg1vy Heh - I was making a reference to a Saturday Night Live sketch with Christopher Walken that heavily features the phrase "more cowbell." 😁 It's on RUclips if you're looking for context!

    She’s beautiful! But why would they hire Kim Zmescal as choreographer? Man ALIVE, the choreo is seriously lacking, and it’s not Reagan’s fault! She does the best with what the choreographer gave her. Beautiful toe point on that double back!

    Landline telephones? So basic. 😄 If you're gonna use the sounds of technology in a floor routine, then I'm gonna need you to use one or more of the following: 1) Fax machines. 2) Dot-matrix printers. 3) The AOL dialup tone. ☺️

    I wish that gymnastics coaches could throw a challenge flag like they can in football. I realize that the vast majority of gymnastics is subjective, but really, come on. There were OBVIOUS deductions that were not taken there. LSU should have been able to challenge that.

    Why start with a double tuck and end with a double pike? Why the hardest skill at the end?

    • @dronesclubhighjinks
      @dronesclubhighjinks Год назад +2

      There is a bonus 0.1 awarded for that apparently.

    • @corystajduhar
      @corystajduhar Год назад +2

      @@dronesclubhighjinks That would explain it. Then could one theorically get higher than a 10.0?

    • @dronesclubhighjinks
      @dronesclubhighjinks Год назад

      @@corystajduhar that is an excellent question. I’m pretty sure nobody would be officially awarded higher than a 10.0. Heads would explode.
      It might be the case that if there was a 0.1 deduction in a 10.1 Start Value routine that the judges would deduct 0.1 … so that routine would end up being a 10.0 even with a deduction that is noticeable to regular viewers.
      If that is true, it would certainly explain a lot of the awarded 10.0 routines we see. I’m certainly not an expert though.

      @@dronesclubhighjinks Start values cannot go above a 10.0. Ending with a double back gives you an extra tenth to get to that 10.0 start value, not go over it.
