BEST TUTORIAL AND PATTERN EVER!!! I used wool ease yarn thick and quick and it’s PERFECT!. the mitten has ZERO HOLES..unlike other patterns. Quality feels amazing and SUPER HEAVY DUTY, WILL LAST A LIFETIME. Soooooooo worth it!!! So thankful I tried so many other tutorials and had to re do over and over but this one, so easy and just the best. Made a set for my brothers Christmas present!! Don’t hesitate and make this! It looks so much better in real life I used a deep blue and it’s so pretty. Will be perfect for chopping wood

Since my brother has bigger hands I just added like 4x more rows and I sneakily measured his hand with mine lol (since I’m making it for his present) so just add as many more EVEN rows until you think it would fit the person you make it for.

Also I just used a 8.0 hook for the whole project and turned great!! I wouldn’t want it any other way :)

My last tip is when doing the cuff I didn’t follow how many rows she said. I just did it until I thought it would fit the wrist. REMEMBER that it stretches!! I like doing a lil less because then it’s nice on the wrist and not super loose which makes you a lot a lot warmer.

Good tutorial, very well described and the camera placement is great, but I had a difficult time seeing all the stitches because of the yarn colour and lighting. It got kind of muddied.
Also, I would have liked to see the thumb finished completely, even sewing in the ends. I know it seems straight forward, but it's helpful to beginners, folks who've never made mittens before, or visual learners. 😊

I really liked this tutorial and the mittens. I made some larger mittens. I added 17 stitches to the cuff instead of 13; and 7 rows after the thumb division before beginning the decrease rows. Instead of 4 stitches at the top I decreased to 6. My son wanted large enough mittens to add a "hand warmer" and they were good.

Do you have any advice in adjusting the sizing of these for bulky instead of super bulky yarn? I have 2 skeins of leftover wool I would love to use. Thanks :)

kind of difficult to follow. i’ve tried twice but where to increase and how many stitches after is confusing, also the rows aren’t mentioned much

What size of mitten does this make? Adult?

I loved this video, although It would’ve been good to have the adjustments for the left hand quickly explained at the end!

Hi, these mittens are interchangeable, which means that they work for both the right and the left hand. You make two mittens exactly the same :)
