I saw the X-Pensive Winos live two or three days before or after this video was recorded. The were playing the L.A. area, and this was recorded at the Hollywood Palladium. I saw them at the Universal Ampitheater the same week. What a fantasitic show!
This is one of the best concerts I ever went to in my life. Well, was at more than one show. But I was there when this footage was filmed, and it was just stunning.
Meine Fresse, wie gut es tut hier zu sitzen und diesen Mann bei dem zuzusehen, was er am Besten kann und wobei er offensichtlich am meisten Spass hat: Musik zu machen. Thank you, Rebelscreamer
I went to this show. Having such a great fucking time with my older brother and my best friend, I lost my limo after the show. Who does that? It was that kinda night. Lol
Keith was really very good without the rest of the Stones, and so was Mick. However, their solo performances also showed how inseparable they really are, there's always something missing when one performs without the other. Nevertheless, Keith definitely proved to the world that he was as much responsible for the success of the Stones as Mick Jagger was.
What a bunch of crap. When the Stones broke up temporarily because Mick told the band he wanted to go solo, and his albums were garbage. Keith said go pound sand, I''ll create my own band. He formed the X-Pensive Winos, who were so great they made Mick look like a British grammer school boy in short pants.

Thanks for this! Good ol' Keef doing his thing - good show!
Keith said Mick was the rock and he was the roll...but I must say I think Keith was the rock AND the roll..
Absolutely love Keith, especially the brief solo projects, but why is Ronnie Wood not considered one of the best guitar players of all time???
He's not bad, he works best with Keith Richards. He also didn't do as much for the Rolling Stones as Mick Taylor.
Your welcome!
