Their musicianship is insane. They are the Earth, Wind & Fire of Reggae Music = phenomenal group ( and really nice guys ) as I've met them numerous times. The true reggae ambassadors. oNe LovE from NYC
Caught 3rd World in Jam Down, Washington DC, Maui, HI, each moment of memory their performances brings me hours of peace and happiness. Thanks to the group’s percussionist, Willie Stewart, who I heard on an hour long interview on NPR 01/16/24. Good job Willie!
Anengiyefa - thank you for your comment . That tour we did to Nigeria we can never forget - We recorded Lagos Jump as we cam back from that tour to Jamaica . It was like it was giving thanks of the great memory we had in Nigeria - Thank you and blessing to you
Third World - Lagos Jump.flv: PURE GOLD!!!!! Thank you, james daniel, for sharing this marvel of meticulous drumming and throbbing melodic sensation!!!!!
Lagos jumping was released in 1983 by 3rd world band, it was a master piece & wonderful album. Also a tribute Bunny a member of that band who passed away recently. May he's soul rest in peace. Olabanjo fashakin Burkinghamshire, England.
Carrot Jarrett just passed away too. This I think this was released after their Nigerian tour in 1982, and "All the way Strong" I happened to be in Lagos, Nigeria when the lights went out in the middle of the show!!!
Genius. Nuff drums. beautiful drumming. How can you sing about Lagos without drums? The slice is no less than the whole. The drum is de heart beat of MAMA AFRICA. UNITY IS A MUST.
All of us Miss Bunny & Carrot - But both of their memory lives through the legacy of Third World music that Shines as Classics like a Blazing Fire - Respect and Blessings
