    Nice looking carpet and it does look durable and plush at the same time. Here in Florida I have tile/wood floors through out the house, but I do sometimes miss the feeling of carpet under my feet.

    Now that it's been a few years -- how has the carpet held up? My husband and I are shopping for carpets and wasn't sure if this is a route we should go or not. Thanks so much for this video!

      Still here and hasn't turned a darker color.
      And I have a cat, that eats brown food.....cleans up with my Hoover spotwasher no issues.

    Did they move the furniture and was there a charge for that? And you mentioned carpet cleaning if not done by a pro does that void the warranty?

    • @hpiguy
      @hpiguy  6 лет назад

      Depends on the store, you'd have to ask. They do usually charge to move furniture.

    I don't know if you'll see this comment but if you do, do you recall which carpet pad you chose? I actually am looking at the same Pagliuca carpet but in a different color. The sales person told me that some people have difficulty vacuuming with the Pagliuca II and the premium level pad (Future Foam Prime 1/2") which is 1/2". She suggested I might want pad one step down down (Future Foam Tempur 7/16") if I get the Pagliuca II. Or if I want the premium pad, I might want to get the Pagliuca I.
    Thanks for any input

      It was selected by them because this was new carpet at the time, no options, they insisted it have a certain pad for this carpet back then. It was a thick blue memory foam pad. At least 1/2 inch.
      The carpet backing itself is quite stiff so you don't really sink in, I've had no issues vacuuming.

    • @hpiguy
      @hpiguy  8 лет назад +2

      +Waqar Ahmed You'd have to pick a style that had a thicker weave, like a berber style.

    • @hpiguy
      @hpiguy  3 года назад +2

      Not really, it doens't look brand new but it looks very nice when vacuumed to this day.
      And it rejects cat puke very well, I can tell you that.

      @@hpiguy , for mishaps , as soon as possible use a shop vac and try to suck the stain out!! The carpet has a stain guard that tries to keep the stain from sinking in!! Then spray the area with cleaner and repeat with shop vac,, repeat until stain is gone! Use shop vac to dry the area also!! Good luck!!!

    What was the ballpark cost for your project if you don't mind me asking?

    • @hpiguy
      @hpiguy  8 лет назад +2

      +jazjen007 With the memory foam pad and the carpet it would come to about $7 sq ft installed.
      All depends on what carpet you pick. They go from approximately $1.98sq ft and up. This one was closer to $5 sq ft.

    Now that a little time has passed, do you find that your opinion of this carpet remains the same? Is there anything you would like to add?

    • @hpiguy
      @hpiguy  8 лет назад +2

      +M.A. Whitlow (MsMike) No issues as of today. I really like it. So soft under my feet.
      The weave hasn't let go at all.
      I do vacuum it more often than my old yucky carpet, couple times per week because it's thick and I don't want dirt getting deep down of course.
      Cat messes have come up each time, zero stains.

    WE had the carpet installed, The carpet is amazing but HOME DEPOT sucked! They did not follow thru on the 7 day install guarantee, they cut the carpet to short causing extra seems and their customer service was non existant. I would buy somewhere else.
