  • Nathan takes you through installing glass in a 1932 to 1934 Ford windscreen frame. This is applicable to the Tudor and Fordor Sedans, 3W Coupes & 5W Coupes.
You will need to pay attention to what thickness windshield glass you are getting made

Hi great vid! Do you know if the 1932 bottom section is the same for all models? Roadster vs Tudor eg.

What year model are you chasing? The '32 and '34 Ford Frames are available from a few places, Speedway Motors is a good place to get them. Mr Roadster is the brand and they're very good quality.

After you put the glass in the frame, how do you affix the frame in the window opening?

      Hi Rick,
Thanks for the question. It really depends on the body. Most fiberglass bodies the frame is then simply glued into the opening with Sikaflex, makes it quite tricky to get out if you get a breakage, but most people do that as the bodies don't really allow for much else when they're made. The original frames were hinged at the top, so that held it in place along with the crank at the bottom. They're never a very good water tight fit to the body, but most people don't drive these in the rain anyway so it's not such a big problem.
