I won an FLX 10 and I primarily run djay pro and the flx 10 isn’t compatible yet and I really don’t have the time to map it as I imagine that would take me a day if I’m lucky- my colleague has lent me his ddj 1000 to get familiar with and this video basically gave me the green light!!! This is a great walk-through TimmyG thanks so much for doing it. I have a DDJ-1000 and much prefer using it with Djay Pro AI even though it's optimised for Rekordbox. This really helped me, not just in terms of Djay Pro AI integration but also as a really nice intro to the features of the DDJ-1000. What a shame that (a) no waveforms on the jog wheel displays and (b) only pitch and filter work with the sound colour fx knob (would have been great if echo had worked). Can I still use echo within Djay Pro AI?

love your channel, very through breakdown on what’s going on. Thanks for tip in regards to looping. I am curious though, why alogoriddim’s djay over virtual dj? . II assume you chose one over the other for a particular reason? I like the live stem aspect of it. Although, im not too fond how hot cues work as its always a hit or miss for me when I want to jump to a specific point in the track. Any tips would be great ! Thanks for making this content. Thank you for these reviews! I just ordered a DDJ-1000 and while I do use Rekordbox, I also use djay pro sometimes. One question, have you tried using djay pro in external mixer mode to get the full hardware FX working on the DDJ-1000?
Totally! You're gonna love the DDJ-1000! I haven't really explored it mostly out of not needing to but it seems like a cool option (assuming it works haha!).
@@johnchoes I actually got a DDJ-1000 SRT, and use djay pro in external mixer mode. All the on board FX work normally. For the AI stems effects you can just remap a MIDI button/knob to control it Edit: for me right now the beat FX doesn’t detect the BPM from djay pro, and it’s auto detection doesn’t work very well
Wondering what the best controller is to use in the high end 4 channel for DJay pro AI? DDJSX3, DDX, Mixon 4, DDJ1000 or SRT version? Or another one. We are mobile DJs so wanting something portable - some of the other pioneer stuff is pretty heavy like the SZ.... keen on your thoughts! Really keen to chat, Timmy as we are big on djay pro!
I have just stop using dj Pro since 2014 .and am back to virtual DJ . No lie I love dj Pro but I must say no other dj software can compare to virtual DJ with features.i stop use virtual DJ because I didn't like the interface but since they changed the look and layout yes am back with the best in the world 👍🏿
Do you activate the effects (low cut echo, echo, mt delay, spiral etc etc) on the bottom right? They don't work for me on Djay pro! Do you know how to help me?

this is fantasti with DJay pro 5...i mapped the memory button to switch between stem mixing and EQ mixing and i was away !

What do you think of the Mixon 8 ? I’m about to buy a controller for Dj pro. I’m not sure what to get.

While using the DDJ-1000 rekordbox whenever I change tracks the volume goes up very loud in djay, it doesn’t happen in rekordbox 😮
Can you change out the sound color fx in midi controls?
cant you use this software on your iphone now?
Yes, but not all controllers work with the software!

I have the DDJ-1000-SRT but I can't sync the FX, most of the time the auto sync is completely wrong. Anybody else have the issue?
