Sometimes, we use a medium when the technique calls for it. I don't want to promote any brand, but any oil paint medium that can be used during the process is suitable.

@@TOPofART thank you Sir for your reply ..your diluent is therefore simply a mixture of spirit or turpentine with linseed oil perhaps am I right ?
