    Acqua Panna was the best water! In Havana, the food experience was not great. Do not order beef, stick to seafood! Your stomach may not handle most meals. My fave restaurant is D'next Bar & Cafeteria in Havana. The ppl are great and experience was amazing. I would go back to tour more cities.

    I've been to Cuba many times; spent many Christmas' there and even been there for the summer. The all inclusive hotel food is really bad. Everyone knows that (except the people that will eat anything without complaint). But, don't go there for the food, go there for the sun, the cigars, the rum, the people and the culture.

      Lol no it won't give you the runs. There's also a ton of bottled water in Cuba, it's just a matter of where to find it.

      Hey thanks for watching! I would definitely recommend Casa Colonial 1840 in the Vedado area of Havana. The host has a listing on Air Bnb although it's usually booked. I would check air bnb for casas. There are so many listed on there that have great reviews & photos

    Which brands of bottled water are the safest there? I heard that some bottles are just refilled from tap water.

    So what can one expect to pay for bottled water, and is it fairly easy to find?

    • @Chefzeecooks
      @Chefzeecooks  7 лет назад +1

      Hey thanks for stopping by! The price varies depending on where you go. On the expensive side, I paid about $3-$4 Dollars US for 1 Liter and that's accounting for the conversion rate. Other places would charge about $1-$2 for a liter as well. I spent a lot of money on water because I visited in late September through mid-October. Therefore, it was really hot and I also backpacked mountains and cocoa fields. In essence, I was drinking A LOT of water so it's possible you won't spend as much on water. Nonetheless, the price varies by locations (hotels & restaurants charging more and local markets charging less though harder to find especially outside of Havana). I hope this helps! ^_^

      That does help, Thank you! Also, is it hard to find restrooms? I'm going with a group of girls in April
      for just 3 days and we will just be in Havana! Your Video's have been most helpfull!

      Aww thank you! Bathrooms aren't hard to find but they are not the same as they are in the US. They don't always provide toilet paper so I would HIGHLY suggest bringing the travel size kleenex packs. This was such a game changer for me during my trip. Funny enough, I packed tissues because I had fall allergies, not thinking they would be a must have for bathrooms lol

    Traveling to Cuba for the first tine in 10 days, Your videos have been extremely helpful.Question: If I go from Havana to Trinidad either on Via Azul or Cubanacan and want to stay overnight should I book lodging while Im still in Havana or before I leave the USA?

    • @Chefzeecooks
      @Chefzeecooks  7 лет назад

      +Gloria Castillo Hey Gloria thank you for watching the video! If you're staying overnight, I would say it's best to book your lodging while you're still in the USA just to make it easier. I booked all of my casas through airbnb. It was easy and I got to read reviews/look at pictures before booking. You can also message each host beforehand if you have any questions. I hope this helps! Have fun in Cuba ☺

    • @goyitachulita
      @goyitachulita 7 лет назад +1

      Thanks for the info. I don't know that booking ahead of time will work since we don't know what day we will go to Trinidad. If we book in advance we also run the risk that the bus will not go to Trinidad if they don't have enough passengers to make the trip. How long a bus ride is it from Havana to Trinidad. Is it doable in one day and if so, how late do the buses run? Thanks for your help.

    • @Chefzeecooks
      @Chefzeecooks  7 лет назад +1

      Mmm ok. I see the dilemma now. The bus ride from Havana to Trinidad was about 3 hours and I traveled using Cubanacan. At the time, you couldn't book your Cubanacan online but I would double check in case things have changed. You can book your Viazul ahead of time online which might make the trip easier and help secure your seat on the bus.. All in all, if you have to book your casa when you're Cuba, this won't be difficult either. When I was Trinidad, I stayed at an AirBnB which operated like a boutique hotel. The name of the casa was Casa Colonial 1830 and it was owned and operated by Yosvaldo who's amazing. I hope this helps!
