A charity lot has also been added to this auction; www.silverston...
All funds (sale of the car + premium) will be going charity, specifically Sporting Bears which are usually at The NEC Classic Motor Show.
Thank you Harry for great video and lovely words about the late great Colin Blower and his TVR. I knew Colin , he was a great guy.
This is exactly what we wanted! I think I could speak for everyone here when I say I could sit here and listen to you talk about every car there!
I agree.
Here here!
Agree!
Most definitely!
I rewatch his videos to keep me relaxed before going to bed.
This video is the 12" remix of the original.. always exciting and worth the extra watch.
That was really enjoyable. I love the 6r4. Animal. Nice to see that the highest value in that room. Every car there is special. Some reasonable prices too. Thanks for the walk around.
That last BONEY-M1; simply amazing!
Harry you're giddy with excitement! And so are we!
YES YES YES. Extended version very much needed. would be happy for you to go through all 150
Dream come true. thank you Harry. this was Christmas a bit early for me. could have watched this all day. a great presenter and the Cars where simple a treat. thanks again'
What an unexpected treat! Thanks Harry!
simply one of the best car channels on youtube
For those that are wondering Sterlings Watch is jaeger le coultre memovox, the second winder is for an alarm set and wind.
Nicely done Mr Metcalfe. Thank you for all the explicit and pleasant videos.
In my opinion Harry you and your videos are a perfect antidote to 'lockdown' blues. Thanks.
19:10 the 360CS is one of the best supercars out there. so special! TG video with Jeremy Clakson and 5th gear video with Vicki Butler-Henderson made it even more special. only needed a manual gearbox to be crazy $$$
I had a red Triumph GT6 for my last year at Shuttleworth College in the late 1970s. Fun little (tiny by today’s cars) car with a lovely sound.
Them Turbo 2's are nothing short of beautiful! Stunning cars!
Those
Grammar is not a strength of mine, thank you for the correction.
"what I really want to show you.....is everything!" . Keep the videos coming.
There was a nice silver Mitsubishi GTO (1995 maybe) behind the Capri RS, in 1995 they were $100,000 AUD brand new in Australia. Wonderful grand tourers.
WOW! AMAZING VIDEO! mr. Harry please do more videos like this ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks Harry. A joy to watch and dream as always.
I love it when you do Silverstone
I would find it difficult to pick one if I were fortunate enough. What a collection.
I can`t believe how quick the last 50 minutes went. Excellent video Harry. Cheers to you for remembering cars of our youth with such love and respect. More please!
Silverstone auctions by Harry are just top top notch videos
The Capri was stunning and surely a very rare car in 2.6 format
45 minutes flew by in the blink of an eye. Amazing content Harry, very glad I found your channel
I absolutely share and love Harry's enthusiasm for Cars and all things a little rare and quirky.👋👍🤙
can watch this guy all day.
Thank you Harry....just brilliant
I love that you and your mate used to wear Crash Helmets every time you two when out in the Triumph GT6 Mk2!
I always learn something new when I watch your video thank you
Can you extend the extended one please Harry! We would all love to see every single car. I could see the Cossie’s, MK1 Escort and DB5 in the background, so close yet so far!
Love these type of videos.
Love the way he walks past the vintage Aston to show us the M1.
Does everyone just click the thumbs up button, before you even watch? I do...because I am never disappointed in any video Harry uploads 👍🏼
His videos are amazing🔥🔥🔥
Another great video Mr Metcalfe. But as a matter of interest, whilst the Spectre Land Rover might be road legal, it’s tyres aren’t. They are Maxxis Trepadors - compo only.
Such a class channel
Oooh that simply white Renault Turbo 2... love that.
29:53 - The colour on that off-white/almost beige 964 is so fitting, i dont know why. Bordeaux/maroon full interior should go hand in hand.
Brut 33 livery. Now that takes me back.
We just need Henry Cooper and Barry Sheene.
Thanks Harry, spotted the Land Rover and Range Rover in your first video and was going to ask to include them. Great minds! 👍
Another brilliant video Harry on this auction, the porsches in this video were very nice but I really liked the GT6 that was the heart and my head was the 928 and was it 968 Porsche as better build quality.
Harry absolutely flexing on us by mentioning he has/had one of just about everything there 😂
You should always upload these videos in extended form, they always leave me wanting more!
I have driven a Triumph GT6 and the crash helmets were a fabulous idea.
love the series 1 E-Type.. I'd settle for the GT6 though
Harry, love these videos so much. Please don't ever feel you have to keep them short.
Thanks Harry, great video but you ignored the beautiful Alfa Romeos 😭 - too many Porsches & BMWs!
Any classic car that has been sitting needs the brakes sorted. I see so many classics with failed cylinders and seized calipers. Doesn't matter if it won't start but it sure matters if the bugger won't stop.
Brakes, steering and tyres are God.
Twice it has happened to me and I'm a mechanic. A 22,000 mile 3ltr ghia capri. Drove it across London. Next morning at end of road no brakes. My Rover P6. Same deal. Drove it 150 miles home. Next day zero brakes. So the next one came back on a transporter! Plus MOT for mine every year.
Any machine that was designed to be used needs to be used. Look a the lengths the military go to to ensure all their vehicles in storage go to battle / exercise without breaking down. Sorry a carcoon and a trickle charger ain’t going to cut it. They need regular use, warm up, at cycling and exercising through the performance envelope.
Mate I just know this much. People need to realise they are not mechanics because they can change plugs, oil and brake pads. They also need to stop giving advice on the internet they know nothing about. Sorry but it's a pet hate. Everyone should take their classic for a minimum of a brake test once a year MOT or no MOT! If you don't, well in my humble you're just reckless as it's just as bad if not worse for these trailer queens kept locked away.
I've seen some very scary "repairs" in my workshop over the years. This week in fact I was asked to Pre-MOT a Volvo and it's front disks were literally falling apart because of rust. But "not to worry because it's only a farm-car..."
Thanks a lot; auction videos are amazing
Yes! Thanks for the extended version! 👍
Hi
Love your videos🔥🔥🔥
I didn't mind watching the stuff I watched a few days ago again but so many adverts now and almost all of them had to be watched in full. Seems as though YT is forcing us to pay for the premium service. Not taking anything away from Harry's usual premium presentations of course.
Good show. Pls make more auctions...
Love these auction videos
Outside my budget but fun watch....you should do a podcast
I especially agree with the latter, would definitely be a pleasure to listen to his stories and more.
@@mrehman306mr absolutely my friend 🤙
Chris Harris did a podcast with Harry on the Collecting Cars RUclips channel, well worth a listen :)
Coupe elan sprint looks so much better than the soft top
That fiat bambino, my dream car😉also that deep burgundy bmw..11:35
Unlike most RUclips channels with this one the longer the better.
Good afternoon Harry . More of the same . Lovely jubley ! (to coin a phrase ) The GT6 is correct . Essentially the MK1 but with more louvres and later wheel trims , which are the incorrect colour. And slightly pepped up engine. The MK3's were styled by Michelotti and for me not so attractive. That ex -Michael Winner T2 is a gem . If l had the money that would be at the top of my shopping list ! Should be the top of yours , l'd get shot of the Shadow , that's a potential money pit . Thanks Harry .
Great show! The pale blue Ami6 Break has my money 🤣
Another lockdown gem! Great way to see the cars. Just one comment, I though "Arctic Rolls" were an eye-wateringly sweet dessert which I remember from my seventies youth!
The De Tomaso Pantera is an excellent car. With an American V8, at least there's ONE part of the car which won't cause headaches.
Harry..... ALWAYS go with the extended version videos.
The combination of your deeeeep automotive knowledge, fascinating anecdotes, small important tips for the aficionado, interesting market insights are well worth the time.
Of course when you say "LOOK AT IT!" and "Go find another!" Is a sign to the true petrol petrolhead that you need to get your notebook out and pay attention....
This is the highest quality automotive content on YT. Editing this for Brevity is like cutting short a visit to the Vatican museum....
Its simply not necessary.
Bravo for giving us the full fat video!
We love all your videos and we try to catch up whenever we get to an area with decent Wifi. Request for more moto adventures though! :-)
The history of the Fisker Karma is actually more interesting. He was brought in by Tesla to collaborate on the Model S but ran off with a load of company secrets and got sued!
Harry your like my RUclips Sterling Moss! Equally as legendary, great video 👍🏼 Keep being an inspiration, thank you.
Thank you Harry!
This girl by me (Hudson Valley, NY) has a Fisker Karma. I don’t know how she got it but she has had it basically since new
I absolutely adore the red 928S. I've loved the look of a 928 since I first saw one as a kid. Its good to see that this is a manual transmission version. I hope to be able to afford to bid some day. The collection here is great and varied. Thank you.
I think still one of the best pieces of art content on youtube today. Keep doing all these auctions Harry!
Welcome to silverstone Museum
Thank you
Lol The AIRSTREAM was built about twenty minutes from my house in Jackson Center, Ohio.
If I never see another review of a modern Land Rover, great.
Thanks 👌
Seems like I’ve watched this one already. But anything with Harry, I’ll watch again.
Yes Harry
Think I need a barn too as I whittled it down to just 7 cars. Had to chuckle when I blanched a bit at the Renault 5 turbo 2's...... as if I could afford the cheapest, let alone the little collection I mustered in my head. Hey ho...when is the next euro lottery. If I should ever win, your services would be required to help spot some good uns Harry.
The GT6 mk 2 looks fabulous but is it worth more the £18k ,,🤔 maybe
Ideal through furlough
My pick of the new bunch would be that GTO
Great video
Hope you get to test drive and review the new Toyota GR Yaris
Harry
Please could you do an after sale video of the guide and final price?
Most expensive car in the auction - a Metro; 'safe to say, I didn't predict that! 😁
Brilliant vid...Harry's obvious passion & automotive eruditeness sets him apart from the ubiquitous monetised click-hunter.
I think the upload should've just shown the extra cars, rather then added to the previous footage.. still some nice cars & a blow back to the early years
@jeremy parsons it's the 2nd upload in less then a week & theirs only a tiny sum of differences ie its a repeat upload
why upload an identical video for only somewhat 5 minutes of extra footage "if that"
I'm not moaning I'm pointing out what's clearly the case, I've opted for searching through this upload for new footage & its so little I made my comment. I don't understand why the content wasn't just in 2 parts, both parts being original footage.
I'm more then sure alot of ppl will be watching this saying "hang-on a second, I've watch this before!" only to find the original still present & very little difference between the two!!
@@malp6280 I'd ask for a refund if I was you.
@@ChuckFickens1972 Sure kid... I've said exactly as others are also be finding for themselves, any other pointless comment you'd like to mention
@@malp6280 Nope, Think I've already mentioned the only pointless comment I need to....
Harry, not sure about your Arctic Rolls, more of a jam roly-poly man myself.
why do a short one and an extended one? just do an extended one!
"a bit of an off....and needed a re-shelling."
One man's a bit of an off is another man's totally written off! 😂😂
True salesman talk.
Totally written off and re-shelled at the Porsche factory is to me interesting history.
Love this.
Hello James how are you doing. I believe you are healthy and also having a nice weather where you are. I live in California and I'm looking for a new friend Ok!
When harry was talkng about the TVR racer, did anyone else zone out when the sierra cosworth came into shot from the right. Lol
Yet another fantastic collection Harry! Plenty for those with the budget to ponder over lol
Think that the Renaults were rather nice! Great stuff 😊
16:08 - the car has an entry in the 2021 Goodwood Revival. If you buy it are you obligated to have it raced in that event?
Those Alfas looked interesting, shame there wasn't any coverage of them.
That M1 is bonkers, and one of my first music memories are Boney M....
I'd be happy if this was three hours long..
I was praying he would cover the Cavalier!
Классные гоночные.Прекрассные тачки.
I saw a 928S on Shire Oak between Lichfield and Walsall registered THE928S back when. Wonder who the owner was...
