    Hi Kevin,
usually I don't log into my account but here I couldn't resist to say thank you for your video.
I just went to Porsche to check my 986 because of a weird rumble sound and they said it could be the trailing arms. However, they asked for 1.700€ and another workshop (not Porsche but Bosch) asked for 2.150€ (lol).
Therefore I was looking for a DYI and just found yours. Thanks bro. You're literally saving me much money with your motivation to do that video.
Take my like and appreciation. Always have a nice and save cruise.
    Regards from Bavaria, Germany.

Hello Bavaria Deutschland. I’ve been to Germany many times I’ve always had a great time. Thanks for watching my videos and I’m really happy to hear that I have helped you. These cars can be affordable when you do the work yourself. If there is something that you would like to see a DIY video on send me a message. Depending on what it is I might be able to do it.
      Stay save and Happy Wrenching!

    I have a 1999 Porsche Boxster, I have a
Bump noise (passenger side) when i roll over a bump. I have DYI changed my lower control arm, bushings and sway bar's!!! still have bump noise! Next, I'm going to change my upper control arm! hopefully this stops the bump noise.

No problem. The suspension refresh sometimes feels like it never ends

Hi Kevin, just sending thanks from the UK for your DIY maintenance videos on the 996. I'm getting my first 911 tomorrow and your videos are giving me the confidence to think I can do this maintenance stuff myself, which really makes the difference as to whether I can afford to run a 996 or not. Mine's a manual C2 in silver, with boxster red leather interior. Am looking to upgrade the wheel and suspension eventually though. Anyway, thanks again. Mark

Kevin’s European Garage Thanks Kevin & yes, I’m a fully paid up subscriber. All parts & tools ordered for my refresh 👍 Just hoping that everything comes apart without too much difficulty & that inner tie rods haven’t been previously secured using red Loctite ( I don’t have the fancy removal tool). Will definitely let you know how I get on but your videos have been really helpful.

I’m glad the videos have been helpful and thanks for subscribing . I still have the rest of the front to do. I hope to get to it soon. I’ve been lucky my car has been coming apart really easily but it was garage kept it’s whole life. Good luck and hope for no red loctite! What would you like to see next? Maybe I can squeeze it in.

Great videos ! I had a little watch and you just zip the bolts straight off ! Im soo envious, the big bolt that goes through the bush into the subframe on one side of mine is totally seized. Any suggestions? Bigger impact gun?

Shame you can’t replace the bushings. Seems a waste. Mine need done: seems easy enough 👍

Its not too hard. No one makes upgraded bushings there has to be a reason it isnt done.

The oval embossed mark at the end that attaches to the body faces up and the circle faces down. Theres a slight curve to the wishbone.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I inquired with Meyle to verify this because I was unable to find any information on this. When i have an answer I’ll post it here.

I have heard back from Meyle technical support. They are symmetrical and can be installed either way. I want to thank Robert at Meyle for his prompt response. Great support from Meyle!

Another great video, what impact driver are you using? 🧐

    • @KevinsEuropeanGarage
      @KevinsEuropeanGarage  3 года назад +1

I’m using rigid for all my electric tools. But I do have to say I like the Milwaukee tools too. Their impart driver is definitely more powerful I think 600lbs the rigid is just 350. I have an air impact from Matco that goes to 600plus if I need it but. If I was going to buy all new I would go with Milwaukee
