Not because I dislike the character or Sadie Sink [who CARRIED that season] but it just doesn't make much sense moving forward
I personally don’t think characters dying to the only way to show stakes. Max was left with all her limbs broken and blinded and in a coma. With the show leaving off with a portal to the upside down being in the center of Hawkins. Like we’ve reached hell on earth now. M Thousands dead, even if our main characters are alive they essentially lost a big battle of this “war”
Steve is my favorite character but they’ve pretty much set up his death already with his speech in the van to Nancy about having a family and shit. That one would hit hard too so I hope that ends up happening
Finally! Someone that says it! I agree wholeheartedly! The moment Steve said all that “I want a family of seven kids and go on road trips and be happily ever after”, I said: “Dude, next season, you’re gone!” Every time I said this while I talk about Stranger Things with someone, they look at me with pure shock, but it so called for! I love Steve, I really do…but he sentence his future death with that speech (well, the writers did) So thank you! PD: Sorry for the long ass message but, literally, you’re one of a kind with this one😅
They're either setting him up to die as a hero or find his true calling. He's not that smart, but he is brave and gets along with pretty much everyone. I can see him becoming a cop and working with hopper if he makes it.
They're called character actors and many have made fortunes off of it. It's as common as hiring a lead because he or she are good looking. If you look at most supporting characters in movies or shows..... they look different.
I honestly thought Steve should die in the last season while saving Nancy from Vecna. It seemed to be heading that way but then it’s like the writers chickened out.
I think 11 should sacrifice herself to defeat the final villain, or whoever the final boss is. It fits her character very well. I think she would use the last bit of energy she had to kill the villain off in order to protect her friends, her family. It just seems like something she would do.
Good idea. He will never have to do a spinoff and he can move on with his life. He’s the best character. He’s the friend that glues the group together because he’s fun.
The issue with not killing off any main characters is that it left several of them to do almost nothing of worth in the third and fourth seasons. Mike, Will, and Johnathan basically just screw around for the majority of Season 4, and then sit beside Eleven and give her moral support for the whole finale. There are clearly characters that the writers are struggling to include in their story going forward, and death is one of several ways to deal with that trouble. The obvious deaths to write would be Steve or Johnathan, as it would 'resolve' their love triangle with Nancy. But honestly, I think it'd be more interesting if they killed off Nancy, then forcing the two boys to confront their issues and dependence on her, as well as directly affecting Mike.
I live in the town where the Stranger Things house is. It's in Georgia and used to be a bed and breakfast. Now it just sits empty but it's listed as a historical house because of the age and architecture. You can drive by and usually see people in front on the steps off the sidewalk taking selfies.
Not only they didn’t die, they didn’t injure either. Steve didn’t help Nancy and Jonathan set the trap in season 1, but when they ran down the hall, Steve jumped over the trap right on cue.
I will never understand why someone wants more people to die? I understand if they keep dodging death or it’s right for the character, but it’s fiction, you can do whatever you want with it and still have a great story
When Glenn died from TWD, a lot of people couldn’t watch anymore from the sheer emotional attachment they had to the character surviving multiple close encounters just to die from another’s mistake. So I can understand why they don’t want to kill anyone yet, but it needs to be Eleven.
I 100% agree! Genuinely last season, I thought Steve was going to die... what would have felt so real for the characters that one of them didnt make it! It feels like they are still keeping the main characters alive because they are too popular to die :P
Honestly the biggest character death I see happening is Hopper and Will. Hop to save Eleven. And Will because of the hints of him being linked to the mind flayer
if anyone's dying it's gonna be either eleven (big main character and has been the hero throughout all the seasons), mike (nancy's vision saw her whole family dead, including mike and he's been one of the mains since season 1), steve (most lovable character and fan favorite), or nancy (probably dying in a heroic, final stand way saving the group). Most likely to die though is probably el

@@cal-un8bdnah it dies after season 2 because you know non of the main cast will die. So you just don't get attached to the side characters
@@kingmedjai9433are you kidding??? Eddie was a side character and I ADORED him! I BAWLED when he was killed off.
Love the character and this kiddo!!! Got my hibby hooked on the show and we cheer every time “Henderson” is onscreen!
He is one of my favorite characters on the show, he has such a infectious beautiful smile and bright eyes to match!!!! 😍 His charisma is what drawns me to him, so glad the Duffy brothers embraced his disability so that he can shine bright as he does!!!! If any of the main characters are killed off I would be pissed!!!! He tripping, please keep the show innocent and full of our childhood memories! Loving the storyline, sci-fi aspect mixed with slight horror it has kept me binge watching for years!! Excellent job Duffy Brothers & cast!! ❤❤❤❤❤
I think if there’s ANYTHING to be learned from Game of Thrones it’s that shock value and good writing aren’t the same thing 😂
There’s a “we hate predictable tropes” trend currently going around with fans AND creatives, when the reality is that tropes are just fine depending on how they’re written.
I just want a happy ending bro😂we never get that anymore and I know it’s bland
We literally get that all the time. Sad/satisfying endings are way more memorable.
@@stevenstocker7425 no tf we don’t every movie and show now has the bad guy win or they gotta be clever and the bad guy was good the whole time or it’s a gray area and he’s only kinda bad
Wtf we get happy endings all the time, even Game of Thrones ending was "happy" lmao
@@christianwest6635 name 10 current movies /tv shows where the bad guy wins.
@@christianwest6635 then you want stranger things to have a bland ending? Ok but nobody is going to remember it. Show is kinda overrated to begin with.
every season they introduce a charismatic character that everyone loves, then they kill that character in the same season. Dustin has always been the comic relief that everyone loves, i feel like him getting killed in the final season would fit perfectly
It’s kinda why the Walking Dead was so successful and popular for so long, so many scenes where you thought this was a main/fave character’s final scene and then when it was their final scene it was that more wrenching
Duffer brothers should become gege akutami’s disciple
He’s basically the master at killing off fan favorites and side lining the Mc to the point of non existent
100% agree. There are too many characters to keep track of & it would really heighten the stakes.
I kinda wish Max died at the end because it would've meant something & raised the stakes for the final season.
Not because I dislike the character or Sadie Sink [who CARRIED that season] but it just doesn't make much sense moving forward
@@Levi-bq3xdno i think she was in a coma
Max is definitely coming back! They wouldn't leave things in limbo like this otherwise.
I just thought he looked a little goofy/nerdy but I didn’t know he had an actual condition.
Imagine, becoming rich and famous because two brothers said “hey, this kid looks funny let’s just write his condition into the role”
They're called character actors and many have made fortunes off of it. It's as common as hiring a lead because he or she are good looking. If you look at most supporting characters in movies or shows..... they look different.
Cool not funny
His smile is infectious it's so cute. I like Dustin
It would make it more interesting and give it an iconic ending
I honestly thought Steve should die in the last season while saving Nancy from Vecna. It seemed to be heading that way but then it’s like the writers chickened out.
Best smile ever ✨
He said kill me off like he gone be able to find acting jobs easily
Damn, dudes out here tryna win the world record for speed running this kids name every time he says it lmao
Duffer brothers : don' know whom to kill???
Gege akutami : brother let me tell you somethin'
,
😂😂🤷
Idk how they are going to up the ante next season. Best of luck Duffers!
If robin goes this season, the rest of whatever year it comes out will be over for me
Do not kill your signature character.
No need. The show is doing great. These actors just need to do their job and quit with the entitlement. THEY made YOU.
It’s the final season of the show,he just wants a cool and good ending for his character. Comments like this are why I comment scroll lmao
Giving valid criticism is not entitlement.
ill be honest i stopped watching after s2 and statistics show that most people stopped watching after s3, what have i missed?
@@giorgereid9216season 4 was actually good that's what happened
@@kingmedjai9433 made me laugh that one😂
I love that "though I don't agree with him at all" 😂😂
i always thought they would keep them alive and then end stranger things but then start it up again when they got older like IT
This guy was so good in Stranger Things. Watch it if you haven’t. You will be hooked. Great talent and a great kid.
I hope Barb returns for season 5 🤞
She got bodied in season 1 tho
That's never gonna happen, 0% chance stop dreaming bro
I think her body is still in the upside down she’s definitely dead tho
How exactly do you expect her to return i know dang well u saw her body in s1 SHE GOT TOOK😭💀
I think 11 should sacrifice herself to defeat the final villain, or whoever the final boss is. It fits her character very well. I think she would use the last bit of energy she had to kill the villain off in order to protect her friends, her family. It just seems like something she would do.
"This kid has like a genetic disorder or something"
"Duuuude. That's cool hire him"
Not me literally having a shrine in my room for Eddie.😢😢

Cool story😆
Wow such a cool school. Thanks for the bullshit my friend.

Idk the condition he has makes him so adorable ❤
By the time they get the series finished they'll all be Drinking age
When actors try to write there own characters is when they usually can’t find work anymore
Good idea. He will never have to do a spinoff and he can move on with his life. He’s the best character. He’s the friend that glues the group together because he’s fun.
lol you ain’t have to look at his rice krispy treat like that😭
Death doesn't equal character development and you dont need them to die to continue growing as a character 🤷♂️
Its hard to build a story and world where i care when 1 season is released every 3-4 years
Noooooo. Im tired of every single show having to be sad. I want a happy ending for these amazing kids I’ve watched grow up since I was in college!
When you drag out 40 episodes for ten years, who wouldn’t want out
he’s my favorite on the show ngl
Yeah, there's a reason actors aren't the ones writing the scrips
150k per episode? You'd have to kill me in real life. 😅
Gaten understands very good writing and I gotta give him major credit for recognizing what would be the most impactful end for his character.
*I think it's gonna be Will. The entire show started with his disappearance.*
The only characters they kill are the ones introduced in the start of the season
I will never understand why someone wants more people to die? I understand if they keep dodging death or it’s right for the character, but it’s fiction, you can do whatever you want with it and still have a great story
It has no stakes. I know the characters are gonna be fine. I’m not scared for them.
It'd be nice to see him branch out 😄 Great potential, I just hope he stays cool.
I won’t lie, I was never tense when one of the main characters was “in trouble”
When Glenn died from TWD, a lot of people couldn’t watch anymore from the sheer emotional attachment they had to the character surviving multiple close encounters just to die from another’s mistake. So I can understand why they don’t want to kill anyone yet, but it needs to be Eleven.
its actually a breath of fresh air not killing off characters. I am all for the duff bros vision!👌
I 100% agree! Genuinely last season, I thought Steve was going to die... what would have felt so real for the characters that one of them didnt make it! It feels like they are still keeping the main characters alive because they are too popular to die :P
“ I’m making 150k a show, kill my character 🤷🏻”
It’s pretty ridiculous that with all the deadly creatures of the upside-down that none of the characters have died
He's one of the best parts of the show!
This just makes me like him more because he underestimates his importance, rather than overestimating it.
I think because death is so rare on the show; that when a main character does die, It only makes the death for the characters more meaningful.
Honestly the biggest character death I see happening is Hopper and Will. Hop to save Eleven. And Will because of the hints of him being linked to the mind flayer
i mean either way he’s gonna get what he wants cuz the upcoming season 5 is the last one they’re making
if anyone's dying it's gonna be either eleven (big main character and has been the hero throughout all the seasons), mike (nancy's vision saw her whole family dead, including mike and he's been one of the mains since season 1), steve (most lovable character and fan favorite), or nancy (probably dying in a heroic, final stand way saving the group). Most likely to die though is probably el
If Steve dies I’m gonna be so upset. The character development and how he’s become a more likable character?? Literally anyone else but him
“You guys don’t like spoilers? I don’t care, here’s five spoilers for Stranger Things”
