      If you don't have a Towa gauge, they really do help. I didn't use one for a long time and I was good with tension but after getting one, I don't have to worry anymore. The bobbin is always set to the exact same tension and I know it's true because I put it in a gauge.

    I just got my Amara and I'm quite intimated by it. You do such a fabulous job explaining things, instead of leaving me to my own devices to figure out. Thank you so much Adam!! I also like your tips and tricks like the Hugo's Amazing Tape idea. I already have a hook for my scissors like you have. : )

    New quilter. I just finished my first quilt and was really intimidated about selecting a thread weight for the quilting. These videos will be so helpful with my next quilt.

      Size 18 is best.
