So helpful! My installer didn't know about this, or why we were getting mostly cold water. Just need to adjust the stop limit; problem solved. Thank you!
Great video! This is very detailed explanations for all 3 types. I generally use the T17 type in my houses. I am so happy that I didn't have to call the plumber this time to get the hot water. I remodel houses and the plumbers always forget to adjust it to hot. I usually call them back but now I can do it myself!
FYI, I have a T14 single-function model, and it doesn't have a set screw. There's a trim piece on the center of the handle, gently pry it out with a screwdriver and/or fingernails, and you'll find a Phillips screw beneath. Remove that and you can pull the handle straight off.
Something must be wrong with my Delta Monitor 1700 Series - My hot water thermostat is set to 125F but after following this video at the hottest setting I can only get 90F in the shower. However, the bigger problem I have is that I can only adjust the temperature 5 degrees in the shower. (85-90) I need a much greater range of control. I like hot showers, but I also take cold showers. The Delta Monitor 1700 Series does not allow me to have enough control over my temperature.
I have a new 17 series, temperature MAXED out and still only warm water. (Very hot in other bathrooms) What if you just remove the rotation stop adjustment entirely. Is that possible.

Mine just did same thing. I took a file and removed the calcium deposits around the gold part in front. Then it was able to pull out and move. Not sure if this is like your issue...?
Hi Kitty BankZ, Yes, loosening the set screw will allow the handle to be removed. Please don't hesitate to reach out directly with any additional questions. Thank you for being a Delta Faucet customer! -Bryan

Where do i find the model number? The box has 132900-A on it. It is a shower only set.

Did you remove it? I am considering doing the same.
Any idea why the temperature knob wouldn't move at all? On the T17288 shower only faucet.

Do all faucet manufacturers do this or is it just Delta. Pretty ridicules!
You lost me when you said "spin it around". Attempts to adjust failed as I did not know which way to spin it.
