This is a super helpful informational video I love your helpful tips it makes us learn how to be better fisherman especially the young ones who love this activity and it teaches us to respect our equipment and able to know what's it doing I love this is not just for muskie it helps us overall its not just someone shoving products in our face saying buy this guarantee fish so I appreciate your time and details in your videos
Yup , I’ve used it really consistently at 4-4.5 , I’ve had no issues at all , I’ve had baits I hawked at 4.5 that were 6 down and we’ve inadvertently gone shallow and those baits hit bottom at 6ft , I’m going off of the last 2-3 years using it and it’s been crazy accurate , when I do those videos , I try and make sure I’m using the product allot before posting , if I wouldn’t have used the fish hawk on a bait the last time I was out , I’m not sure that I would have caught the last fish I did without knowing for sure that lure was 10ft down , so through my general experience , I feel comfortable telling you yes , they will work at 4.5 mph and are accurate.
Fishhawk sounds interesting, but just blow 2500 bucks and get a livescope and watch it on screen🤣🤣 Dont forget changking your depths with down rod or pointing rods up make a difference as well👍
Same goes if it’s half full , it definitely throws the clicker off , at least on the convectors , point being validate that it’s accurate before the season so you are confident in where the baits are running!
Regarding reels, I'm not sure accuracy of the line counter is all that critical. Trolling a bait 50 feet back is not all that different than 52 feet back. Precise depth is a little more critical, but your sonar should help with depth. The fish Hawk is a waste of money and time. I troll and deep jig in very deep water. 50' to 90' of water. Allegheny Reservoir. No weeds. Lotsa rocks. It's all about the sonar side scan and mapping. Troll the shoreline about 50 feet offshore. Run shallow stuff inshore on a planer board and deeper stuff offshore. In summer, go much deeper. It's not rocket science.
Lol glad you found something that works for you , my point is , if your trolling wooden musky lures , the depth chart the manufacturer gives you isn’t always correct. If you do not know where your lures are running in the water column, I’m telling you your not going to be as successful. If you think it’s that easy , to just troll a shoreline at random points of the year , you are obviously not fishing for Muskies. I’m telling you If your not positive where your running your baits , your not going to be consistently putting fish (Muskies) in the bag. If this wasn’t useful for you that’s cool, because my videos are targeted to help the people that actually want help , even if it’s just one person.

Oh. And congrats on the rig....
Thanks man appreciate it!
Is the fish hawk td accurate for depth, when running deep crank baits at 4mph ?

Yeah I’ll get right on the live scope purchase lol
Is that a Harbor Freight tape measure? Asking for a friend
Lol always!!!
If your reel shows 110 and its really 120 out, the reel is too full
