I think one of the smaller towers with a balcony would be a perfect watch tower. Since your new mega base is high in the air, you have a bird's eye view on what's going on with other kingdoms close by and see where those demon tentacle things are
For some of the rooms in you base you could do a pet room, a meeting area, a suggestion wall, a comment room and you could get banners from each person in the smp and add it for a room

And maybe mini areas for an emergency escape, like you have your bees, maybe you have some bees in your floating castle just in case you need to abandon your ground castle. I think it'll also be cool to create lore around the floating islands. Maybe ask gem for magic crystals and those crystals raised the ground. Say put a giant crystal underneath your floating islands and a giant hole under to show it came from the ground and didn't just spawn there.
Im thinking you could put waterfalls,flowers,lakes just like bringing the entire overgrown in to a base btw i was feeling really depressed but your upload made my day

You can make some rooms that represents your allies like an Ocean themed room , a Mezalea themed room , a Rivendell themed room an more can't wait to see the mega base lady of the overgrown!
You could make the grand hall of the mega base into a sort of indoor courtyard area with a gigantic gilded fountain with flowers in invisible frames patterned on it. Also might be cute to get a couple of owls and woodpeckers from Scott and Shrub just to give it some wildlife :)
You should name the cat, "Zari" which means "Omen", I think she could be the key to keeping the tenticals away because the omen could scare off zornoth
