    I found your channel while studying for my PMP. I found other people also posting content on how to pass the PMP, but your clear explanations and relatable content really made a difference. I also found great value in your bootcamp. Keep up the awesome work, you do make a great difference. I wish you and your wife the best!

    Looking to get a job. I am tired of getting certifications like they are pokemon; trying to make myself desirable for just a chance, not the role but a chance for the role.

    • @alvinthepmofficial
      @alvinthepmofficial  Год назад +2

      I know EXACTLY how you feel.. It's completely frustrating, and it can feel like a never ending game of Pokemon with "catching them all". That's why, I've only decided to focus on the most important certifications (e.g. PMP and a few other ones). If you can get your employer to help subsidize the costs, that will also be helpful. Good luck with the job search, I plan on releasing future videos about creating a resume that will help you land an interview, and other videos to land the next job opportunity so stay tuned to my channel when I release them!

    Hi Alvin, thanks so much for such a Frank opinion about personal and professional life. We all go through many ups and downs by the time we reach out goal. I am in technical role from many years. Whenever I try to sit to read about project management, I somehow loose interest, but I want to start it somehow. Can you please help me with where to start for PMP exam preparation?

    • @alvinthepmofficial
      @alvinthepmofficial  Год назад +1

      @Namratha, it's definitely challenging to get started especially when it can feel so overwhelming, and feel a little bit tedious to read all the nuances about project management. My recommendation is to dig deeper into your "why" and to use your "why" as your motivation to push yourself to study for your PMP Exam. For me, my "why" was to earn a higher salary so that I could better support my family so we could have a better life and to open up even better career opportunities for myself. Another good way to look at it is, if you earned your PMP Certification and it helped increase your income by 10% (an extra $10,000 - $20,000) and opened up even more job opportunities in the future, how would it make you feel? Use this to motivate yourself when you feel stuck. Hope this helped!

      @@alvinthepmofficial Completely agree with you Alvin. I will start the digging process.

    Hi Can anyone help me with this question
    A project that is using an incremental approach has colocated team members and is using a kanban board to visualize the work in progress (WIP). A key external stakeholder requests that all project activities be placed on hold until a status report is distributed.
    What should the project manager have done to avoid this situation?
    A. Stored project documentation in a shared folder.
    B. Organized monthly meetings with the external stakeholders.
    C. Invited all of the stakeholders to daily standup meetings.
    D. Sent weekly status update reports to all of the stakeholders.
