I started teaching in the US in 2003 in a Christian school in Hawaii. Then I moved to Georgia in 2005 and also taught at 3 different Christian schools till 2015, afterwhich I transferred to a public school. You have more autonomy and pretty much freedom to implement what you want to teach in a private school, unlike in public schools where you have to follow so many state standards and assessments, to the point that you are teaching to the test (depends on the subject). Likewise, classroom size is smaller (up to 20 tops, compared to public schools where I can have as many as 30-35 kids). However, for practical reasons, the salary scale in public schools are way way better than in private Christian schools. Sanayan na lang yan. Mas mahirap ang trabaho, mas compensated ka. It's your choice. I chose to stay in public schools dahil maganda rin ang benefits--health and retirement.

Christian private achool yan. Of course mas discipline sila. Pero pag non christian school or public school yan matindi na makikita mo na yung totoong ugali ng mga american kids

i would bet you are correct. yung mga inner city kids ang katakot. But i believe na in small towns, kids are more respectful and have better upbringing.

Well it’s a Christian school. It’s private. So the behavior I think will be different. I challenge for them to try an actual public school.
