Have you stayed in a Balcony Cabin on board Marella Explorer? I lived in one for nearly 6 months when I worked aboard Marella Explorer during the pandemic in 2020 when I worked onboard as a Trainee Deck Officer (Jay). Reckon you could do it??
@@sailawaymag Hi. Yes we are booked up to go to the Canaries for a week on the Marella Explorer. Really looking forward to it but trying to work out if it's worth while paying the extra £50 to select our cabin x
@@lubosweep to be honest, we probably we wouldn't bother. There are no obstructed balcony cabins to worry about. Balcony cabins on Deck 10 and above have slightly more depth and feature an interactive TV, but other than that there is no difference. Explorer is a great ship, we hope you have the best time!

Can’t. Wait for November come on the carabean
Thanks for the tour I found it helpful as I did not know what to expect when we go next year.
Pretty comfortable cabins! I spent 6 months in one when I worked onboard as an officer, and I coped pretty well!

Does the Aircon also double up as a heater?
Thanks for posting this, really helpful to see what these cabins look like - do you have a video of an inside cabin on this ship?
No, sorry!
We are booked for next year on the Explorer in a large balcony cabin 2 weeks cruise around the Canaries.
Hope you have a great time, Joe!
In the picture of your video I saw a hammock on your balcony but not in your video, does this cabin come with a hammock?
Hey Jess! Some balconies have them and others do not - it is pretty random! Our cabin didn’t have a hammock, but the identical cabin next door did!
Really useful information thanks
No problem Mel! Glad you found it helpful :)
Is that the sort of cabin you had when you were working on her?
Good Vid .On in July this ship .BUT B4 that on in This Dec on Ex 2 Caribbean
Thanks Peter! Hope you have a great time on both :)
Does every basic balcony cabin have a couch?
Hey! We’re pretty sure they do. Have you got anything planned for later this year!? 😀
