The Lounge is a colour-changing feature bar, with a hot-pink piano and funky, ring-shaped seats and a general lounge bar.

Squid and Anchor is Marella’s first pub at sea and their take on a traditional British Boozer. It is home to a live band and some exciting quiz nights.
Umi Sushi is a for fee Sushi restaurant. You can get Sushi, sashimi and Nigri rolls. It’s open between 6.30pm -9.30pm and costs around £9.95.
Aperitif is right nearby and a nice small sized bar that serves champagne and prosecco!
Surf and Turf steakhouse restaurant is where you’ll get everything you would in an American steakhouse. It is at a cover charge of around 28.95 per person but, well worth it.
Kora La is a Pan Asian Restaurant. A restaurant launched by Chef Ian Pengelley, who runs a restaurant called House of Ho in London.
The Broadway Show Lounge is right at the front of Deck 6 and 7. It is 2 stories and holds up to 1,000 guests. The shows can rival any broadway show or west end show. There are up to 12 different shows that you’ll have the possibility of seeing.
Deck 11
The gym is a lot bigger than other ships and there is a space for weights, and a separate room for classes.
Right next door is Champagney’s Spa. This is huge! It is one of the best Spa’s at Sea. I’d love to kick back and relax here on a sea day.
Scoops is where you can get Ice cream on a hot day in the sun!
The large pool deck has two pools. They are both saltwater and unheated. One of them is adult only too. Both are quite deep with shallow sides. There’s also, 3 hot tubs. The entertainment crew come up to the podium pretty well all day organising pool games, activities and fun competitions. You'll also find live music up here during the day. T The outdoor screen here, shows films during the day and in the evening.
Right nearby is the snack shack. Here is where you can get your burgers, hot dogs and chips… along with the nearby beach huts.
Deck 12
There’s the indigo club and casino. The casino has slot machines and a variety of card games to test your luck.
In the club there will be a host of different; silent discos and Eighties or Nineties-themed nights that take place.
The shack is where you can get cool down drinks for when your sunbathing.
Deck 14
Veranda is an adult only area at the front of the ship. There are plenty of sun loungers with call buttons to order your drinks and it's a lot quieter up here.
Cabins.
Inside cabin. A number are configured as four-berth with Pullman beds.
There are 202 outside cabins that are on Decks 4, 5, 8 and 9. These cabins that look out to sea can sleep two, three or four people.
There are two types of balcony cabins, this one is a large balcony, which are new to the line and come in at 16 square metres apiece.
There are 40 Junior Suites across Decks 10 and 12. The best thing about these suites are that the beds face your balcony.
There are 10 executive suites on-board. These are the tip top suites on-board.

What do you think about Marella Explorer?
What would your pub cruise quiz team name be?
Planet Cruise 🚢 Empty Vessels
We did a 7 night meditation cruise on July 7th 2018 booked through Planet Cruise and had an absolute amazing experience from start to finish. We have booked a 14 night Med next May on Britannia also through you guys. Ide love to do a northern direction cruise next on the Marella Explorer again. I'm watching out for a nice little deal now.
James & Jenny .
Nice! What was your favourite part of the ship and where in the med did you travel to on her?
@@planetcruise it was on July 7th not February, my wife corrected me as usual.
I have to say the pink piano bar during the day for a sneaky G&T while my wife sun worshipped at the pool was where I could be found chatting to the barman.
We were up along the coast of Italy then France (I think) then Spain. But to be honest it's all about the ship for me, the ports are a bonus.
Loved the review probably no definitely the best And factual I've seen. Thank you
Hi it looks an over all good ship with a good mix of entertainment. I especially like the idea of showing films outdoors. The beach huts were a great idea and also the detailed glass panels that hide the life boats/deck chairs outside, very innovative! I’ve put this on my short list. Thank you 😊 so LOVE the hammock!
Will be on the Marella Explorer next month.
Very excited now after seeing your ship tour.
spectacular ship, Enjoyed every built of it, Quality food not only the chargeable restaurants but also in all other restaurants throughout the ship,
Great tour - looking forward to seeing it for real in January 😎🚢
Thanks Sharon! I hope you have a lovely time!
Brilliant video just what we were looking for thank you
Thanks Paul!
Well done , very good and informative vid
What a brilliant revue, well done.
Thanks John! Don't forget to subscribe to the channel to see more videos like this if not already!
Booked for end of March can't wait. Know the ship as did a cruise last year too.
We (my husband & I) were treated for his retirement to a cruise on the Marella Explorer last October. What a fantastic ship! Very very clean food was lovely as was the weather! Best holiday ever! Would definitely cruise on this ship again.
Great to hear you had such a fantastic time Karen!
Love the Med bar, first time on a cruise it was spacious never seemed busy ,staff were brilliant, love the Italian restaurant and tapas restaurant. Meant to be going on 19th April ,will wait a couple of years to things back to normal.👍
It looks a lovely ship, we sail out on 15th November x
My cruise on this ship was during the time it was ''under diferent management''. It still looks as good as we found it, on our cruise from Singapore to the middle east. The video is beautifully filmed, informative and well narrated. I doubt if I'll get the chance to sail on her again, but if I do, I will jump at it because I can fully recommend a holiday on such a lovely ship.
Thanks for the great feedback Philip!
Two weeks tomorrow - a trip around the Canaries with my grown-up son (his first cruise)
On This Ship in July 1st Time /Been on Ex 2 .3 Times So hope all is well on Explorer
We are going on july 2022 cant wait
good security keep safe bar
Question:Daughter is joining the trip in Sept.for a special b'thday. I would like to prepay special meals at the Dining Club and Turf and Surf for both restaurants and her partner / Is this possible to do this?
Sad about all the extra charges for restaurants. That’s why we go to fully inclusive cruises. Works out cheaper.
Will be on it 22nd November starting in Tenerife....
It's a pretty cool ship! Where are you going?
@@planetcruise Canarian Flavours 7 night cruise, first-ever cruise for either of us...
I was on that cruise!!
Listen mate I know you don’t get a lot of notifications so please reply brother,
I’m looking to book this w my friends but it seems like a lot requires an extra charge. Like £22.95 as a person fee??!? I wouldn’t spent that at a restaurant normally. Seems overly priced?
What are the hidden charges like with this company. Service charges and tips.
The birthday party
It would be nice if they decorated the ship - I have seen more inviting army barracks.
The ship is fantastic jealousy me thinks!!
Judging by the interior, did this used to be a ferry.
what a goon!!!
Much confusion: you describe the ship as 'all inclusive' but then talk about the cost of the restaurant!
Most cruise ships have a mix of complementary and additional restaurants that are for a surplus charge. If you want to just eat in the main dining venues, there's plenty of choice while the extra restaurants are perfect for a treat trying something new or celebrating a special occasion.
Is there a lot for teenagers ?
Hi Shannon, there's loads of stuff for all the family! Check out our Marella Explorer page for even more info. If you click on a specific deal, you can also see the ship's facilities and filter depending on what attractions you're looking for. www.planetcruise.com/en/marella-explorer
Can you smoke and where can you go
Deck 12 & six, make sure you take ciggies onboard with you, as they only sell Malboro lights in that squid & anchor, and at silly times
You talk a bit stiff and slow. I think the video could be improved with more practice. It sound unnatural when you try to add emphasis to your voice.
Please don't take offense. I am also pretty bad at recording talks.
The worse cruiseship I've ever been in. Awful.
seems you're totally in the minority....Ever thought of pulling your head out of your arse and taking a proper look??
