    We went on the repositioning cruise from Majorca to Croatia on the 30th of April. Loved the ship and as we upgraded the drinks package used the coffee port at least 4 times a day. The gelato was delicious and very good value . The surf and turf was amazing and one of the cheapest we've ever paid on a cruise. Thank you for the video it brought back good memories

      Thanks for watching Wendy, we're looking at a repositioning cruise, I like the idea of them

    Hi Big Steve & Larna, we did a cruise back in 2011, Palma Majorca-Trapani Sicily-Naples-Corsica-Toulon France-Barcelona and back to Palma. That ship looks a million times better than the one we went on. Our ship was quite old and was retired a couple of years later and we were very much underwhelmed by it and the whole cruising experience. I did like waking up in a new destination everyday. Wouldn't rule out doing another. The highlight for me was getting to do a trip to Pompeii. A place I'd always wanted to visit.

      Thanks for watching bud
      This was our first cruise and we was impressed with the ship, it's only a few years old and they kept on top of everything everyday
      I got up early so I can see us pulling into port and Kotor Montenegro was lovely

    Very interesting video, my brother and his wife are great cruisers they love it. Does seem to be a bit expensive in parts of the ship although you seem to get a lot. Thanks for sharing Steve and of course Larna 👍👍

      Yep you definitely need to be careful of additional spending, but the basic all inclusive is still great. Thanks for watching 😊

    I went in April and was impressed with it all..plus adults only 😁

    • @stephenjackson9217
      @stephenjackson9217  5 месяцев назад +1

      The adults only was one of the reasons we chose that ship
      For our first cruise it really impressed us, shame about the upselling onboard but that's part of life now haha
      Thanks for watching the video

    Very helpful and informative video thank you. I’m glad you mentioned the sockets…I thought they had G type three pin British sockets 😮 You’re right, they don’t take into account that our plugs need space underneath. The last cruise we were on was with Azamara, an American ship. My iPad charging lead wouldn’t charge using the USB in the light. I had to keep borrowing one from reception which was a pain. If you take an extension lead it has to be surge charge protected. Charging leads/plugs is always a nightmare. Appreciate the heads up. Interesting to see they hire out bikes. Did you hire any, or see others hire them? It’s not knowing what the terrain is like too. One to think about though 👍🏻 Hope you enjoyed your cruise. Would you go with Tui again? 🚢🗺️

      We would definitely book on the explorer 2 again solely as it's adult only, the cruise ship and staff was brilliant however the airport and flight not so good
      We're looking at doing one of the relocation cruises where you go from Europe to the Carribbean, couple of extra days at sea but the prices are dead cheap

      @@stephenjackson9217 I’ve heard others say the airport/flight not good 😕 That’s useful information about doing a relocation cruise to Bahamas as we were thinking of going there. Thank you so much for taking the time to reply 🫶🏻

    You are wrong with regard to the 19th Hole bar (and others), it’s not just premium drinks served there, you can just get the regular All Inclusive drinks there, we often had a drink there and never paid extra as long as you had the AI drinks

    • @stephenjackson9217
      @stephenjackson9217  Месяц назад +1

      Yeah I know what you mean however when we went you had to ask for the all inclusive menu as they only had the premium stuff on show
      Thanks for watching and if you've been on any of the ships let me know what you think, I'd love to try one out

    I went on this ship back in 1996 around the Caribbean when it was part of Celebrity Cruises fleet, named “Century”. ❤

    Im confused about the comment about all inclusive drinks not being included. All Marella ships are all inclusive...do you mean the premium drinks that are an extra charge?

    • @stephenjackson9217
      @stephenjackson9217  21 день назад

      Yes and in some of the bars whilst we was there only had the premium drinks and not the AI stuff, it didn't stop us from enjoying the holiday thou there is plenty of places to eat and drink if your on the standard package

    • @emman6941
      @emman6941 21 день назад

      @stephenjackson9217 that's a bit naughty. I'm going on 22nd Nov, so I'll look out for that. Which bar was it?

    • @stephenjackson9217
      @stephenjackson9217  21 день назад

      19th hole and flutes mostly, the restaurants make it clear but the bars didn't
      We had a ball in the squid and anchor thou so it was all good, the smoking area at the back of squid is a perfect place to watch leaving port and watching the sun set

  • @philrickerby9895

    The thing I didn't like is it's a all inclusive cruise but a lot of restaurants are expensive add on's

      Totally agree, £40 for a curry in kora-la for example however always found something to eat in the buffet or vista

    • @emman6941
      @emman6941 21 день назад

      @stephenjackson9217 it is a common occurrence on most cruise ships. There are extra pay restaurants, but still those eateries that are included

  • @sheilamead-s7z

    Not a good review, very negative comments, not selling it for me , thankfully I know better , there is lots of choice on the AI package,premium gives more choice of drinks. Each to their own.

    • @stephenjackson9217
      @stephenjackson9217  21 день назад

      Don't think it was negative, the week we went they wasn't advertising the AI in certain bars, I do believe you can still have a great time in without going to those places anyway
      We enjoyed our stay onboard and the staff was amazing, we're going to book the Discovery once it goes adult only next year
