Excited to watch this journey back to the games! When doing a workout (AMRAP for example) that contains a cardio intense such as running and then following with a heavy power lift such as a power clean how do you control your heart rate from cardio to the lift?

I weigh 103kg and am 1.7m tall or short actually. My pot bell is going to cause health issues as I age so I need it gone and I have set myself the end of the year to get it gone but really also to get into amazing and healthy shape. In order for that to be gone I need to reduce my body fat, which is 33-36% I can't remember exactly, by 20-23kg so basically I need to weigh under 80kg by the end of the year.
I don't plan on doing anything extraordinary for it, manage my diet better and work out 4-5 times a week, 30 minutes of cardio(that involves no running despite it really being the best kind to do) 45 minutes of strength(comprised mainly of deadlifting, squats and bench pressing predominantly with a bar)
Should be an interesting time in my life but more interesting in my wife's life
Such a stupid question probably to ask but- how do you prepare yourself (diet wise) 2-3 months before games such as open or hyrox?
