@@samuelpancake4084 I saw a tattoo that from one direction is read as "I'm fine" but if you view it upside down it says "help me".. But I agree, this specific singer/verse/lyric strikes me at my core everytime i hear it.

Again, thank you for reacting to this song for this old vet. Wisdom taught me, too late sadly, that you can get so wrapped up with the silent battle within, you can lose everything outside of it. Also, please stop apologizing for your stopping and talking. You be you! Stop when you want and what you want. People died for you to have that freedom. Don't let anyone step on that. Being I now exists with TBI and PTSD under a VA program for homeless vets, yeah, many verses hits home for me. It's just, is what it is.

Being I am a fourth generation vet and got to see my three older brothers, who are vets, two from Nam, my dad and four uncles who were WW2 vets, one being a pow survivor of the death march, two being wounded vets ( my dad being one) I knew what it meant to take that Oath and I don't regret that. Where I am at, are from my steps and no one else's. I just accept my outcome these days as the cost of the life I decided to live. Everything has a price. Man dad told me when I was young, that freedom is a long term loan from a heartless bank. Payments will be made to keep it or it will be taken away. Again everything has a cost even, even if someone else is picking up the check at that moment time.

I completely agree. The moment Ben Becker started singing she crossed her arms like his were crossed. That is a strong sign of being an empath. Mimicking the body language of those you are communicating with says it all.
Your voice and mannerisms seem so sweet and innocent. It's a nice alternative from what I usually see and hear on RUclips. But very soothing and therapeutic. Don't change a bit and keep up the great work. Great reaction.

Speaking as a man, father and grandfather I can say everything said by the men on this song is felt by most, if not nearly all men. I have felt nearly every emotion described.
Now a widower who lives alone I can cry at at this song because I understand it all and feel it deeply.
Of all the true words spoken the most true is 'understand'. Men don't want sympathy or pity... most of us wouldn't have it any other way but an occasional word of appreciation and understanding would make us feel valued. It appears to me the current narrative in the world is that we are unwanted at best and the scourge of society at worst.
You should listen to the version with Darius Rucker, of Hootie and the Blowfish fame. He did a fantastic verse too.

Hey im a new viewer! and my first time watching was in the eminem cleaning out my closet reaction keep doing what youre doing in.these videos also atlus is a very underrated artist his singing is just amazing you should react to his music he is a very good artist trust me you wont be disappointed
This song resonates with every single man. The unfortunate thing is that the women in a man’s life are harder on him than the rest of the world. They would rather see him die on his horse than to see his pain. There are definitely good women out there, but they majority of the loud voices are spilling the hatred narrative to men. If the roles were reversed with self deletion, there would be a completely different response from the world. Men are seen to be disposable.

I’ve got so much respect for anyone using their platform to try to make some type of positive impact in this world. And the songs themselves have been just beautiful. Yeah, I did a small bonus video after recording the remix where I planned on just watching some of Daxs’ reactions to this song and I learned that he did the open verse challenge. Wow, that just adds so much to the song for me. These are not people saying things just to say them. They are living it. Super cool and big props to Dax. Got a whole list of more Dax that I can’t wait to check out- might have to temper those reactions, we’ll see how emotional they make me.

I wanna say you dont need to apologize for pausing its your channel and you have some input on something you watch anyone watching should wanna hear what ya got to say. its impossible anymore for more to share our emotions, as hard as it was in the past, it has only got worse. we are ridiculed if we open up, ridiculed if we close down. even our GF\wives will look down on us if we open up.
honestly, I don't think women understand what men go through in our lives. the stress, the pain. everything we hold inside would probably kill most women. the loneliness we feel even in a room full of people, people we love can be soul crushing sometimes.
I don't think many women even realize what men put up with just to have someone to come home to. what we are willing to take, abuse, disrespect etc just to have to have a family. too many women are "boss babes" and won't be the peace in the hurricane that is our life.
Word of advice from a man, usually isn't even usually not being venerable, most times if talk about deep serious shit n a woman will cut in n talk about karen/Sharron/Kathy etc n what they said blah blah n how much they relate and didn't even listen to full story for 1 lol
