I really started to understand football around this time and I could not have picked a better season to start going to games. Just a superb time to be a fan and it has never been this good since.
you know what im going to stick my neck out here-if we'd have gone up instead of charlton the year before we would have won the p league this year(or beeen v v close)-when we did go up the year after we didnt have johnston or clark and were still v good but i reckon this was the best team/squad in all of those 3 seasons and remember schwarz joined and was great after this.plus you are watching proper football,i mean phillips missed 4 months and still scored 25,quinn,bridges,smith.........just legends man

Fantastic season...murdered the league and were unlucky to lose to Leicester in cup semi. Kevin Phillips at QPR goal of the season.
Kevin Ball was a fantastic player for u lot.

we defo were a premier league team that year but we wouldn't have come close to winning the premier league. we probs would have finished top 10 though
