@@jensmathiasen4346by now I would assume most celebrities who haven’t been living under a rock for the last decade are pretty familiar with Eric’s shtick, so the shock value of them coming in thinking he’s just a normal host is completely gone so I would love to see how Conan would act on the show

Really? I assumed theyd hit it off. Conan himself is a supreme comedian and has no trouble vibing with zany characters. Unlike colbert and the others who get all stiff and awkward when they cant predict where the conversation is gonna go.

It’s just another way of referring to current times.
Also Conan has been around since the 80’s, he’s actually fairly traditional with his comedy style and not really postmodern in the same way that Eric Andre is with his satirical deconstruction of the talk show format.

i love eric's viewpoint about something being so high stakes the anxiety goes out the window. i swear to god i'm perfectly calm in tense situations, even running from the cops, but when i sit alone in my room for some reason i have panic attacks.

True, you could literally see that. I was watching this bit a couple of months ago, because Willem Dafoe was referencing that exact scene when he was a guest on Conan's show, stated that this was one of his favourites (and the guy has a pretty good sense of humour). I digress; be that as it may: Abel Fererra was *hammered* , Jesus, LOL 😂😂😂
it's so endearing seeing Eric meeting Conan! it's obvious Eric is a huge fan, that Conan is an inspiration to him, this is his wildest dream come true and Conan is rolling with him in such an amiable way. such love I feel watching this!

I love both of these guys so much- super funny and creative but also just genuinely good dudes. You can tell there's a lot of great chemistry and respect between these two. I'm sure Conan would ranch Eric upon request, minimal questions asked.

i completely understand the logic. i have some crappy anxiety sometimes, but i can go to a party or festival and completely let loose and survive. it's more so like going on a date to a restaurant or realizing alot of people are listening to the story im telling. if i have to feel out of my element and also use my brain to be entertaining or informative it just doesnt work out well. i become weirdly boring and stupid because half of my brain is too busy freaking out and trying not to show it.
hey when you get to the other side... just focus on whom else cares about what you care about. If that list is below 3 people that aren't family... maybe pivot. No jokes. I thought the same way for decades. Freak out. Your imagination/creativity is subject to no one but yourself. Use it. Whom defined "freaking out" for you? Check your sources. (I've danced this dance before)
that sketch is actually in the adult swim official compilation on youtube "Musical Moments in The Eric Andre Show". they hid it basically. its at 28:20 and at the end of it Hannibal says "i want my name taken off this show"

It makes sense that he can focus when under extreme pressure. Even going back to school i remember only being able to do well and study properly when i had a ton of pressure to do well. Any other time i procrastinated like crazy. As someone with anxiety and potential ADHD I feel that so much

3:33 You can visit Phineas Guage's skull at a tiny medical museum near Fenway Park in the Longwood medical area of Boston, if I'm not mistaken. I saw it there and I don't think it moves around. It truly has a railroad spike sized hole through it

The Phineas Gage thing is actually more hardcore than what Eric and Conan are saying. It wasn't a railroad spike. It was a three-foot-long, 1.25-inch-diameter iron rod.

I love that Eric, as insane as he seems on screen, sees a therapist in real life. He's probably well adjusted, but he still feels the need to see a therapist just to kink out the edges is so telling of his character. We stan a mental health conscious king.

Eric's reasoning that it's the only time he feels alive reminds me of what it was like to live my teens on Zoloft anti depressants. They save lives initially, but then take them in other ways. Even if you go off them, they've permanently rewired your brain. That is until you purposely and extensively rehabilitate it.
Eric Andre is a genius. I've never felt more anxiety than when watching his show. It's like watching a panic attack manifested. I don't know how he does it.
