i love eric's viewpoint about something being so high stakes the anxiety goes out the window. i swear to god i'm perfectly calm in tense situations, even running from the cops, but when i sit alone in my room for some reason i have panic attacks.
i completely understand the logic. i have some crappy anxiety sometimes, but i can go to a party or festival and completely let loose and survive. it's more so like going on a date to a restaurant or realizing alot of people are listening to the story im telling. if i have to feel out of my element and also use my brain to be entertaining or informative it just doesnt work out well. i become weirdly boring and stupid because half of my brain is too busy freaking out and trying not to show it.
hey when you get to the other side... just focus on whom else cares about what you care about. If that list is below 3 people that aren't family... maybe pivot. No jokes. I thought the same way for decades. Freak out. Your imagination/creativity is subject to no one but yourself. Use it. Whom defined "freaking out" for you? Check your sources. I love both of these guys so much- super funny and creative but also just genuinely good dudes. You can tell there's a lot of great chemistry and respect between these two. I'm sure Conan would ranch Eric upon request, minimal questions asked.

Eric's reasoning that it's the only time he feels alive reminds me of what it was like to live my teens on Zoloft anti depressants. They save lives initially, but then take them in other ways. Even if you go off them, they've permanently rewired your brain. That is until you purposely and extensively rehabilitate it.

Eric Andre is a genius. I've never felt more anxiety than when watching his show. It's like watching a panic attack manifested. I don't know how he does it.
