I personally love your great attitude of cleaning up kid mess. I get more grumpy than I care to when picking up my kids mess and I'm always amazed at your happy heart while serving your family. It's astonishing that people have such strong opinions of other people's choices in raising their family.
My mum did everything for my brother and I. I’m still a neat freak and cleaning obsessed because I grew up in a tidy home. You do you! Also I love the new home and seeing it all come together.
One of my chores was hanging out laundry to dry, then gathering it in. It was always exciting if it started to look like rain or started sprinkling. It was like a race against nature! That's my fondest memory of chores. I Hated dusting though.
My sister’s husband has 4 sisters and his mum made him do everything the girls had to do and he is like superman, never sits down, clears your plate literally as you have just eaten it (maybe while lol). She is one lucky lady lol. Xxxxxx.

We moved into our house in 2026 and it is forever work in progress, plus with a growing family you suddenly realise even more future alterations needed etc, but it’s such an adventure! I am so excited for you and I know you and Matt will do an amazing job! ❤️
As many in here compliment you Emily I will be another person doing so, I think there way a lot to learn from you than to teach you how to be a fantastic parent. I honestly can't say that I am even 1% near your parenting skills, but keep on trying, teaching my naughty toddler of everything what is in my believe good. We don’t have an airing cupboard either and I put each persons sheets in their wardrobes and I have a cupboard in the utility room that I use for clean towels. Loved watching it’s given me a boost to go and clean up ❣️

I have waterproof sheets on my step daughters beds (£5 for single in Asda) and keep a couple spares just in case! Fully protects the mattress, isn’t noisy like some can be. Just have to throw in the wash and can also be tumbled with the rest of the sheets

Great video as always. Never heard of puppy pads - I definitely need them. My son is 3 and out of nappies only since June. Once every 6 months he has an accident and we use waterproof mattress protector but we just need to wash it all. It would be so much easier to use it directly under sheets. Learning sth new every day 😊 I wonder if Caleb was always so active. My little one is only so small but always been so active and loves jumping on our bed like Caleb does on trampoline and seriously never stops. I only have him so far but at times that can be exhausting

Yes I make Something just like your cheeses broccoli chicken casserole thing I just put everything together and put the rice on the bottom and bake it that way so it's all in one dish. Easy clean up. @@mrsemilynorris can I suggest you consider make your utility room upstairs? Save you bringing washing up and down, we moved our washing machine upstairs only cost £150 in plumbing and has made such a difference!

I am British (living in Cyprus for the last 25 years) and have only known the washing machine etc to be in the kitchen. I have a Canadian colleague who opened my eyes to the inefficiency of this. You basically drag all your clothes downstairs to wash and dry them, just to drag them back upstairs. In our new house the washer and dryer are upstairs and it is so much more practical and easy. It also stops the piles of clothes in the living area waiting to go back upstairs.
We have the same issue too with our son and drinking constantly. When he was in hospital last year they didn’t need to put him on a drip Because the amount he was drinking. We are finding ourselves limiting it too x
Just an idea, that you may not of thought of. I would take the handle off the cupboard that is stopping you from getting to the washing machine and move anything that is in the cupboard to another cupboard, if you have the space in another cupboard... I could not be dealing with that faff every-time I was doing some washing 🤣🤣 loving the new house 🏠

I was northern ireland champion of trampoling (quite a few years ago 😂) but yes it's such a good workout especially for your core. Tho after 3 babies Im thought I would get on and do my old routines I had totally wet myself 🙈😂 thankfully pelvic floor r much stronger now I can bounce and squeeze 🤣🤣 xx

I didn’t have an airing cupboard in my new bungalow, so I purchased two large wooden ottomans and put sheets in one and towels in the other. One fits nicely in an alcove in the hall and the other in my office.

You should move your washing machine handle lower until you change it. Moving house has it’s annoying surprises sometimes 😂 I still after 5 years struggle to find homes for all my items x I look forward to seeing your future adventures and having my own after this covid-19 goes away. 😊

Hi Emily, That chicken dish is sooooo much like a family recipe we make. We call it Swiss chicken. It is very similar but we use frozen green beans at the bottom, curry paste and we use corn flakes instead of Crisps. Will defiantly give yours a go though too. Thank you for all your videos. Hi! My kids have so many stuffed animals and my friend told me about a bean bag that you fill up with your child’s soft toys and stuffies. It’s the best idea ever! When they aren’t playing with them they lay on them reading a book and when they decide to empty it out for a bit they love it because they had forgotten about them and seem to enjoy playing more. Many diff colors and patterns on amazon. Just an idea if you were thinking of a storage solution.
For the easier access to your washer maybe you can swap hingers on the other side (so it’ll open right to left) and change the washer door to open left to right too. It looks like it may resolve the issue 😊

I didn’t have an airing cupboard in my new bungalow, so I purchased two large wooden ottomans and put sheets in one and towels in the other. One fits nicely in an alcove in the hall and the other in my office.

That chicken dish is sooooo much like a family recipe we make. We call it Swiss chicken. It is very similar but we use frozen green beans at the bottom, curry paste and we use corn flakes instead of Crisps. Will defiantly give yours a go though too.

Hi! My kids have so many stuffed animals and my friend told me about a bean bag that you fill up with your child’s soft toys and stuffies. It’s the best idea ever! When they aren’t playing with them they lay on them reading a book and when they decide to empty it out for a bit they love it because they had forgotten about them and seem to enjoy playing more. Many diff colors and patterns on amazon. Just an idea if you were thinking of a storage solution.

For the easier access to your washer maybe you can swap hingers on the other side (so it’ll open right to left) and change the washer door to open left to right too. It looks like it may resolve the issue 😊
