I used to work down on Fisherman's Wharf, my husband worked down in SOMA. I used to walk all the way there by way of Little Italy just so I could breathe the aroma of their food as I passed by. Loved walking through North Beach.
Washington Square Park, which is not a square, with a statue of Benjamin Franklin not Washington in North Beach which is not a beach. But a beautiful place to spend a day in San Fran
most of this is just that washington square park. not north beach proper. it's just the vagrants who hang by there. it would been nice to show us more of the international feel of this truly special area!
