Performance, efficiency, control.
The twin-cylinder boxer engine of the new R 1250 GS fascinates in its diversity right from the very first moment. Its character is unmistakeable - in every engine speed range. It offers you increased performance and smooth running at low speeds at the same time. The BMW ShiftCam variable camshaft control ensures more powerful torque curve over the entire engine speed range, providing greater control in every riding situation. Giving you power whenever you need it. More cubic capacity, more power - with higher efficiency. The strong performance with fewer gear changes gives you sovereignty. In short: You feel the boxer's energy even more directly.
Connectivity with colour display as standard.
The 6.5-inch TFT colour display shows information such as speed and rpm, navigation, telephony, media and additional vehicle information. When darkness sets in or when riding through tunnels, the lighting and colour intensity of the display are automatically adjusted. Even in strong sunlight, all of the information is very easy to read.
Hill Start Controll HSC as standard
The standard Hill Start Controll HSC makes starting on slopes easier. With the help of the handbrake lever, the rear brake can be easily applied. When riding off, the brake is released automatically.
BMW Motorrad Spezial
BMW Motorrad Spezial offers particularly design-defining billed packs packages for the R 1250 GS. The HP billet packs underlines the sporty character of the machine with aluminium components. The Classic billet pack of the exclusive Option 719 sets stylish accents with high-quality components in a silver-coloured look. And the Option 719 Storm billet pack gives the machine a unique rough look in silver-grey.
Full LED headlights as standard
Both in low-beam and high-beam lighting, the illumination is wider and more homogeneous than conventional lights. In addition, the light is whiter, making contours clearer and significantly increasing passive safety.
Dynamic Brake Control.
DBC supports you in emergency braking by counteracting the often unwanted gas actuation in such an extreme situation. The intervention in the engine control reduces the engine torque. At the same time, the braking power is increased at the rear wheel. The result: more safety through the best possible use of the braking capacity to stabilize your bike and shorten the stopping distance.

This GS is great if you stay close enough to the main cities. But for those that really want to explore, the 1150GSA is the true go anywhere GS that is simple to fix and reliable.

Mojo Too bad and sorry for you! however, a few cases (of which you are part) have never made a generality! and then we must be wary of the internet effect where we find everything and its opposite, which very often distorts the judgment! I'm on my 3rd GSA now, and have to say they are a great allrounder, has for price don't forget if you wanted to you can keep and run these things for years trouble free and they will do 100k with ease so do the division over 10 years and they work out quite cheap.
You ever tried standard RGS? I see that GS Adventure is so big, it looks like it weights 300kg! Standard looks lighter and looks like it's easier to ride. I never had BMW RGS, would you recommend GS Adventure as must have over standard one? And what's best to choose from equipment? Daylight LED light, quickshift, HP Akrapovic exhaust? Is anything else really needed? 😂
- Strahinja I’ve not had a standard GS Im very tall so the GSA is not a problem I have the HP exhaust which is nice but can get on your nerves on a long trip with its droning noise, you can cover ground at quite a rate for a large machine I have done 700 miles in a day without problem, really the bike is very good straight out of the box must have is the navigation system in my opinion

Not a chinsy scooter by any means. This motor is reponsive and quick!! The addons i would want to do is front fender extender, rear fender under extender, and bigger, brighter brake light on the rear. This is one Cool, Quick Bike, that puts a smile in every mile you ride it!!!

I bought a Ducati multistrada 1200 enduro. when i get bored of doing all that but faster i might buy one on these.

Unfortunately your statement is not true. I spend 200‘000 km on GS and GSAs over the last 7 years and alle of Thema have shown Technical and electronic weaknesses BMW is not going to fix. I will geht my new 1250GSA in April and will continue with BMW BUT your Statement is incorrect
I love the Exclusive GSA although i have the HP myself....
Smart! The HP is a great way to get the suspension of the Adventure, but with more athletic springs, without the mass of the big bike. And the Rally seat should be good on the trail. I'm short, so I got a 2020 Exclusive with gold rims and added Touratech bars for near-Adventure protection.
Lovely looking machine, but it needs the panniers and top box to look like a real GSA... !!!

I hate to disagree with everyone, but this is an awful vid. It just keeps repeating nd tells us nothing.
The bike, however is amazing. I prefer the Adventure Exclusive , mainly for the colour.
Having been a motorcyclist for many years I cannot recall a bike that has ever received so much adulation, this one goes beyond all the plaudits of all the rest. An amazing bike
