- Do you want to know how to fix your nintendo switch not turning on or charging fix? Sometimes your Nintendo switch battery is depleted and it won't charge, how can you get it to charge again? Try taking off the joy con controllers and then getting a USB C charging cable and plug it directly into the wall outlet. Now let you Nintendo switch charge for a few hours or overnight. After years of my switch not turning on someone finally know how to turn a switch that doesn’t turn on

Same here, my console has never run out of battery, actually I only play in tv mode, and still this happened to me, don’t know why but I’m sure it wasn’t battery related, but a software issue, nevertheless, this worked.

Never throw a console away. Most have a warranty period and certain components can be replaced free of charge, so given the specific issue, you can ship the Nintendo to one of the Nintendo Repair department locations (I think most go out to Redmond, WA) and they'll take a look at it. Years ago, I sent my system to Nintendo Repair and they fixed it. The only thing I paid for was the initial shipping.

REMOVING THE JOYCONS IS NECCESARY. The methods in this video didn't work until I also removed the joycons as shown. After several hours of my Switch not turning on and no charge icon despite following every other step, the charging icon finally showed up a minute after removing the joycons and resetting it.

Yeah basically what happened to me, wouldn't turn on with charging from a usb or from a mains plug, I thought it was done but the 15 sec press worked wonders thank god 😮

God bless your soul, my switch turned on after following the exact pattern you explained when holding down the power button. The battery was at 100%, and i had just been playing it that morning. No idea why that happened but glad this video exists because it's working perfectly fine now.

My OLED switch battery ended up completely drained and I plugged it in to a usb on my computer and it turned on then shut off so I plugged it into the wall and let it sit for a little and whenever it didn’t turn back on I panicked a little but this method you showed off worked like a charm. Thanks, i was afraid i was going to loose all my save games
This method works perfectly! If you know your switch is already fully charged from keeping it in the dock, you still have to plug the switch into the wall and just hold it for 10 seconds rather than doing the 10 seconds then pressing the power button 3 times

I removed the joycons and pressed the buttons on them, somehow it turned on. Maybe the buttons were a coincidence but I'd reccomend trying it because it worked for me!
