at 3:31 : it most likely wouldn't be 7 factorial as 7 factorial would imply that cases exist where all 7* or so elements would be used in tandem, which would be very difficult to implement as some abilities would negate others, but even if you placed a hypothetical cap of 3 elements it would be 7C3 which would equate to 7*6*5 or 210 combinations, which is incredibly complex and it only gets crazier if you go to 8 or 9 elements. but the increased complexity of element combination was the thing that got me hooked on spellbreak back when it was in EARLY development and made me play it to the bitter end.

Hyper Scape was a game I couldn't really get into at the time but after its death I really liked they design of the map, characters, abilities and more. And then it got rereleased earlier this year and somehow it's even better than I remember it. If you haven't heard of it, you should give it a try. The matchmaking can be spotty at times, but it's still worth playing
Something I don’t see anyone talking about was tf2’s leveling system. You could play a match and get a few levels nothing new, but the way you leveled up was unique. You get tokens called Merit every time you level a weapon, Titan, or by just playing a match. And then there’s the player levels I did the math reaching G100.49 is more than 3000 levels more than any Call of Duty game. You think you’re cool being level 1000 in CoD? Well in Titanfall we had people who had done that 3 times over without starting over every year.
I remember seeing some Beta footage of Spell break. Honestly, like Titanfall, it probably would've been more successful if it came out at the time that the skill level of the public majority would be able to pick it up. Titanfall had complicated but revolutionary movement, and Spellbreak was innovative with the way you could combine Gauntlet abilities and make cool combos. Would've loved to give it a go.
About your point about Fortnites revive system being old. I really like My Hero Ultra Rumbles revival mechanic of giving the enemy 20 seconds to finish you or you just get up, the timer stops if you take damage and you can still be revived by your teammates in 5 seconds

Spellbreak was so dope
swear this is like a tv show like regular show
Something I don’t see anyone talking about was tf2’s leveling system.
If you did an indie movement shooter vid, you should defo cover The Echo Point Nova Demo. It’s a fantastic proof of concept.
An indie movement game vid would be dope
5:18 knightfall does this (awesome game it died in like a week tho)
Imo, oats was one of the catchiest songs you’ve beautifully composed
hi i really really enjoyed the overnights oat song so i subscribed
I remember seeing some Beta footage of Spell break. Honestly, like Titanfall, it probably would've been more successful if it came out at the time that the skill level of the public majority would be able to pick it up. Titanfall had complicated but revolutionary movement, and Spellbreak was innovative with the way you could combine Gauntlet abilities and make cool combos. Would've loved to give it a go.
A titanfall like is a game called diesel knights its really cool, they have a youtube chanel with kind of devlogs
i'm glad so many people agree how good spellbreak was
I'm looking forward to seeing more content about games I wish I would have add the opportunity to at least give one try
I highly recommend Warfork if you want a good high speed movement shooter.
RIP hyperscape, genuinely loved it
6:44 I remember a Minecraft br tourney that relied on stream donations for your loot
Yeah that would be fun. Variety is always great
I would love a review/showcase of movment based indie games
RIP Cycle Frontier
Spell break died because they were so slow on updates, so the game fizzled out but I loved that game so much I miss it
About your point about Fortnites revive system being old. I really like My Hero Ultra Rumbles revival mechanic of giving the enemy 20 seconds to finish you or you just get up, the timer stops if you take damage and you can still be revived by your teammates in 5 seconds
