- Prawn here with a look at the Corsair iCue Link LCD upgrade kit. This is a LCD screen that's designed to replace the standard pump can on the Corsair iCue Link H100i, H150i and H170i coolers. It's an "easy" upgrade to your iCue Link system, assuming that you follow my tips of course. :)

The black LCD is so much nicer than the white version IMO, colors seem to pop way more with the darker glass
Does a black version come with this cooler? I have seen a all black one but on a older version that comes with different fans.

Icue is that simple to set up even I managed to do it with the link system - with a helping hand from your videos of course 🤪

I have everything I need in my cart but $500 is hard to spend on an AIO and fans. I’m hoping it will go on a bigger sale soon because it seems like a great set up
The USB Y splitter was the smartest inclusion that they did with this whole product range.
Where does the final little wire go on the motherboard?? Why does everyone skip that part. Does it go on a cpu header (top right on motherboard)?

H170I Elite LCD also need an upgrade now, bigger screen module, IMO..
I have 10 fans in my case, and the LCD Pump which counts as 2 devices.... 6 fans on 1 side of the hub, and 4 fans plus the lcd pump (6 devices)... 6 devices per port... still getting the Triangle of doom.. Second issue: When running the auto detection it doesn't even get the order close, is that normal as well to have to rearrange the order of devices? When ordering your devices do you start from the top left exhaust or bottom left intake?
About the "Triangle of Doom": I have lately seen a video where the guy explained that some mainboards cant deliver enough power through the usb ports which leads to the error. He said that you can fix that problem by buying an internal usb hub (eg a nzxt one) that has its own sata power connection. Apparently if you plug the commander or whatever you use into that, the triangle wont occur anymore because it gets enough power this way.
That wouldn't help with this specific iCue link issue as it's down to too many devices being connected to one port on the controller but a Powered usb hub can be useful for sure

recently purchased iCUE LINK H150i RGB AIO LCD CW-9061008-WW. Already fixed with ICUE5 installed and I still can't find option Screen Setup to play with GIFs :-(
Same to me, maybe the ICUE software was updated and now is not possible already to change it?
So the most bizarre thing occurs with my LCD screen. More often than not I always get the triangle of doom upon starting my PC. After making sure I have no more than 7 devices plugged in on either side and removing the screen and re applying to make sure it’s fully sealed i have no idea what’s going on lol. The only thing that remedies this is turning the pc on and off and hoping that one time it miraculously works. Which is does but it can take 3-4 reboots before it decides to work lol. I’ve contacted Corsair over a week ago and I’ve heard nothing. I’m tempted to return and replace on Amazon in hope that I’ve got a dodgy screen

so after having the icu expeirence with the better product being the cooler and new fans, when it comes to cosrair.....is it safe to assume that you prefer lian li over corsair? is what im wondering now given your experience and common sense that i so highly respect? wondering about that one
iCue Link is technically superior to Lian Li's current setup because the fans are more intelligent - with built in sensors for example. Personally I prefer the aesthetic of Lian Li's fans, but I also highly respect Corsair's fans and things in general. So both are good options imo.

No. It's just for iCue link but you can get an upgrade kit for those cookers too
Where do you find additional murals, as Icue only has three as standard
There's an add button I believe? Where you can then choose from other options
Installed everything exactly like in the vid but I cant adjust anything on the lcd because there are no device settings tab. Uninstalled twice now and still no luck

@@thomaslyngbyeboje6333 yes, the usb c cable was not plugged in AIO controller , plug in AIO & the Header in Motherboard, it will work
@@jonnyfontane3607 use the USB-C cable in AIO, that is for screen controlling
Problem solved. Ended up removing all fans from the cooler and from hub. after re-arranging my layout of fans and radiator it all worked.

I just biught an h150i ilink rgb and can uodat to that also, but i will smash the aio first to the wall. Pump runs, fans spin, and the aio is connected to the hub, and the rgb fans to the radiator, just like the manual. But no rgb light, and no pump shiwn in icue. Just one time short. Other side of the hub has 7 fans working fine, with rgb. Even when i swich ports, nothing changes. Even tried other hubs, but no succes, alk do the same. So i think its in the pastrough. Its a common problem i saw on the corsair forum afterwards. Do you know a fix or sollution.
Uninstall iCue. Download the latest version. Install that. Check for firmware updates
@@TheProvokedPrawn all of the thimgs are up to date, even did a clean windows install, and try to install the aio, and icue again. Nothing works. And i realy see more people have it, but no sollutions

Erm possibly? That's a very expensive option to not use the Corsair link fans. You'd have to still use the controller and Lian Li's as well.

Lian Li, IMO
Lian Li has more display options but Corsair is more reliable when it comes to AIOs
Have they found a solution so that the LEDs could not be seen, or could make them look better?
Reason I sent mine back on release, looks horrible

I think it only works with icue link coolers, not the old icue stuff.

Thank you for your quick reply. According to what I read, the LCD upgrade kit you mentioned has many software problems. These software problems bring many hardware problems alongside. There were even users whose CPU burned due to overheating. If you believe that these problems are no longer experienced, I want to buy an upgrade kit for my H150i Elite Capellix.@@TheProvokedPrawn hese software problems bring many hardware problems alongside
i don't get why they had to design the cabling like that, there's already a usb cable that goes from the cooler to the mobo so why not just make it go thru that so all you have to do is plop the display onto the pogo pins

Hard avoid for anything Corsair. First my vengeance ram won't take XMP which after much research found out that's common. ICue suck ass with it's UI also. My Corsair fans RGB stopped working, along with the ram and mouse RGB. To fix this i had to go in safe mode to delete all icue files after researching it after hours of searching. Bought Lian li and are never looking back. The fan RGB went weeks before the others problems
Are you using a 420mm aio?
No, 360 in this video but it works with the H170i version as well, if that's what you mean.

Could it be because you have too many devices connected. Apparently each port can only support 7? I thought I explained that.
@@TheProvokedPrawn well I have to hubs in my system. Everything is plugged in and powered correctly. My Link H150i is even showing in my Icue devices. Only its not giving me the screen settings to apply Gifs, Temps, etc..

ICue keeps crashing my pc. Ended up uninstalling it and system runs fine. Basically useless for the dominator ram rgb…
That's weird. How do you know it was iCue specifically?
It took me a long time to figure it out. Almost wanted to reinstall windows. Back then I had windows 10. For some reason before reinstalling windows I uninstall icue and the freezing stopped. In the end I updated to windows 11 and my ram was stuck with a random rainbow pattern. So I installed Icue to change that and…. The freezing issue was back. Now it’s a random blue pattern I can live with and without icue the timing of the individual ram sticks seems to be off.
I’m running a ryzen 9 5950x. And I did read about other people having issues with ryzen. Just weird they didn’t solve the issue more than a year later.

My aim is to be thorough so I can be really helpful to the people who need it but also to deliver better content than other people 🤷🏼♂️ but yes, I spent hours and hours and hours on that build 😂
Corsair really sticks it in and breaks it off on their prices, don't they? I wish I felt like I was getting what I was paying for instead of being handcuffed by their proprietary scam. All that cash and it "kinda" works if you fight it long enough but its a rabbit hole I'm not going to let myself fall down again.

Why can this read cpu temp but my Icue Cappellix can't? I just get reservoir temp. I'm so annoyed with Corsair right now. Spent all this money on all this stupid RGB crap and I have to download CPU temp to get cpu temps.
I agree, I bought a water block with leds and I can’t use them because I won’t spend the extra 60 on a stupid I cue controller, total scam
@@henryvolpe2263 i HAVE the controller, but I only get radiator temps...i guess i have to buy the water block LED you got to get the cpu temps..lol. No more fancy crap for me. Next build is having ZERO rgb. I'm going Noctua.
