    Awesome video, great key points that im going to use along with kettering reviews! forreal I actually graduated RT school in June and currently reviewing to take the TMC exams this month. This journey hasn't been easy, whoever is just starting RT, dont give up! always read and read and ask questions, seek help from classmates and always recall on understanding the modes on the vent. We'll all make it!

      Do nursing if you want career growth within that speciality. If you do not want that go for being a RT. (3years experience as a RT) I am now looking into getting into PA school as there is no realistic growth in this field.

    • @thundrr907
      @thundrr907 Год назад +1

      @@mite4099 You right, even though I'm barely beginning my first year in RT. There is not much growth compared to nursing with has a plethora of growth. Nurses can get higher education and be a practitioner or Nurse Anesthetist. RT's only have sub-specialties, while nurses have that and more. The only growth it seems like is be a an RT Professor, but you need a Bachelors, while most RT's are associates.
      UPDATE: Perfusionist, ECMO RRT, LEAD RRT for department, Physicians Assistant and Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants(not too sure about that other than it's predominantly in the East of the US

    Great video very informative and straight to the point. I’m currently a medic in the army but I get out soon. I start rt school in September 🥳. I’m looking foward to more videos keep it up ms. I think some good ideas for another video could be where you are as a RT. Maybe bring to light with some areas that you struggle with, the most unsual/ hardest patient you’ve encountered, specific topics in rt school that we should focus on/ ones that a lot of people struggled with, future goals/ plans.

    Hello. This is helpful for me. I am struggling in the program. I am looking for new ways to improve my study habits. Can you please make a video on improving critical thinking with case scenarios and building long-term memory? I struggle the most with critical thinking and having information stay in my long-term memory.

    Im not sure where youre located but were you allowed to have a limited license during school? if so, what does the work entail? My state allows students to have a limited license for respiratory after the first year of the program. Thanks! Love your vids :)

      I’m not too familiar and didn’t have one. But I was a paid intern and did everything RTs did but reported to a preceptor. I had a smaller assignment that was all my own. I assisted where I was needed and during more complex therapies so I could learn. If you’re able to hold a limited license I would highly suggest, as it’ll help so much when it’s time to take the boards
