This was a very interesting tour! Amazing just how much work and how many people it takes to put these newscasts/weather casts and shows together! Sheryl was sure a tease! Of course, this video was uploaded a decade ago. I wonder what she looks like now.
The wardrobe return trick got borrowed by most of the youtube community. I remember watching a video where some guys explicitly said that back in the day when they did not have the budget, they would buy costumes, keep the tags and return them after shooting. Works like a charm.
Nice work, Global! I remember visiting your studios when the game show “Food For Thought” was being taped there: I was a contestant on one episode, and everyone there was so nice to us all. It was such fun to be part of that production!
All thrown into a leased building, as everything is in the wrong places on floors, nothings in proximity to each other via corridors. They had invested heavily in this gimmick, surely they could have been more organised with a purpose built building - or was I wrong?...
Excellent tour! Much different than radio broadcasting the I'm used to.📻
You guys deserves a great reward, thanks for this video. behind the scenes is very important in every career.

They look so amusing, love this video!
Ty for the behind the scenes! I'm putting together some broadcast for esports, this has sure helped :) From Toronto
the newsroom at CIII appears to be almost three times the size of the newsroom at Global BC...

Hi, where I can download background video like in: 0:36, thanks
Why would they have the weather center up at the front behind the set anyway?
Great job guys
nice tour, but, the reporter microphone does not work only the microphone on the camera works
Well that's depressing

Question...who writes what the news anchor is reading on the screen?
an underpaid producer who gets no glory or fame for their hard work
1:00 its called an IEM or an In Ear Monitor
No, its IFB - Interruptible fold back
@@alcraig1 well technically it is called interrupted fold back... :P
@@tekvax01 well, I've been a broadcast audio engineer for 45 years and ive always known it as interuptible.
Behind the scenes guided tour of Global TV Toronto
I think that we can read the title just fine.
Nice sound........ :P
IFB stands for "interruptible feedback".
Oh, so _that's_ where the saying "I like the cut of your jib" comes from?
whats up with the audio mix? one voice in left ear, the other in the right? so weird
use of wireless mics to the mic inputs on the camera 2 channels , ch1 left ch2 right
Upper Canada Media they really should have mixed the channels so they are just equal
sure they could if they were to add a mixer however seeing as they are operating as mobile handheld it would be a bit cumbersome..
That's a pretty standard audio setup. It's called non-composite monoaural audio.
dan b 3 year necro dude 😂
Brand new blouse uh?🤣🤣🤣 3:33
which are the softwares used in this video please?
Completely custom virtual studio generation software. There are several manufacturers, ROSS Video is one of them.
great..

All thrown into a leased building, as everything is in the wrong places on floors, nothings in proximity to each other via corridors. They had invested heavily in this gimmick, surely they could have been more organised with a purpose built building - or was I wrong?...
Yawn
everyone is white
Lol 😂
What shame all of those behind the scenes tech people lost their jobs because of money
Why does this video suck?
Hickey’s costume looked dreadful.
What the hell IFB stand for? Seriously??? Is she speaking polish or what?
