I loved this song. Never heard it before. Love how Elvis did his high notes and also his low notes. He did it so effortlessly. These transitions in his vocals pure honey. ❤

Elvis can do a lot with his voice. That is magic. Elvis had no voice training. It was God giving. No one can come close........................be water my friend
Elvis' voice continued to get better and better and Elvis thought so too. Every backup singer, the Jordainaires and Imperials, joe Guercio, orchestra leader, etc said his voice was best as he git older. Elvis worked on his voice to grow its range, power, and breath control. In the sixties and fifties, much of hos voice was from his head. Later, he sang mostly thriugh his chest. But I lived all his voices.
At this time in his life, his voice was sheer perfection...it was as smooth as butter! And, he was truly in his element when he sang Gospel. I loved every song that this WONDERFUL man sang and true to himself, he NEVER let me down! I, for the life of me, cannot understand anyone who didn't think this song was SUPER GREAT!!! I thank you and appreciate you for standing by ELVIS, even when it wasn't as popular to be an ELVIS fan as it is now! In my opinion, he was not given the respect he was due, during his lifetime and since! THANK YOU, AGAIN for your glowing reaction!!!
JOHN YOU JUST SAID IT...THANK YOU VERY MUCH.... ELVIS GOT MOCKED FOR BEING POLITELY AND GIVING HIS THE APPREATION BACK TO PEOPLE AS A SOUTHERN GENTLEMAN DOES. SO WE THANK YOU.
There will never be another voice like his EVER!! The King of all is Jesus Christ our lord and savior and HE gave that one extraordinary voice to just one man and that was none other than the King of Gospel Music 👉Elvis Presley!!🙏🥹😍☝️🤜🤛
I am a big fan of the new Elvis movie. It’s a must see. But once you get to an Elvis song like this you realize that there is no one that could imitate this man’s voice. There is a reason why 70 years after he entered Sun Studios no one sounds just like Elvis. I don’t think the man can be auto tuned and I don’t believe he can be imitated. He was a gift that was meant to be a once of. HIS STORY must continue to be told
They said that the early music Butler sang himself and then and the special songs Elvis was used and I don't know I hadn't seen the show yet if Butler was lip syncing or they used Elvis's actual voice and even face for I know but I find out this Wednesday we know nobody can replace the king AKA Elvis Junkie
Kurt Russell did an outstanding job of playing Elvis , The girl that played Percilla was Kurt's ex-wife and the man that played Vernon Presley was Kurt's father. Great movie. Fantastic job Kurt
Elvis was a once in a century singer… no one can sing every type of song as he did and make it his.. yes he covered a great number of other artists gold records but he sold more copies with his cover.. he was the greatest singer I have heard in 80 years and the greatest performer ever! I saw him live in concert in Richmond Va in 1973 an the audience was on the edge of their seats or jumping up screaming the whole concert.. and it was all ages from children to grandparents. I have lived in Las Vegas for over 24 years and have seen in concert all the “great’s” come through and no concert I have ever seen comes close to the one in 73 with the greatest singer ever!
You have to react to "Are You Laughing Tonight" Live, by Elvis. You will see such a funny side of him and he will make you laugh! I've watched it many times and I can't stop laughing!!! He is so special and I love him so much.❤
ELVIS AND GOSPEL A DUO MADE IN HEAVEN I PLAY HIS GOSPEL ALL THE TIME THE MAN HAD A SONG FOR WHATEVER MOOD I WAS IN AND HS GOSPEL CAN PUT YOU IN AN UPLIFTED MOOD VERY QUICKLY HE SINGS WITH SUCH EMOTION AND FEELING SHOWS HOW MUCH HE LOVED OUR LORD AND HE WASNT AFRAID TO SHOW IT NEVER GET TIRED OF HIS GOSPEL LOVE IT
Elvis's voice was at his best in the early 60s so smooth so velvet like he always was a great singer but the early 60s was his best all around voice great vocal performance early '60s was Elvis's best singing and health late 50s early 60s Elvis's best voice his hand in mind great gospel track vocal perfection

I have this exact record album. I bought it in the mid seventies when I was a teenager. I have all of his gospel albums. Most of his movies. I seen him in concert when I was 15 years old in 1976 at the Capital center Elton John was there and so was Lisa Marie in the front row.
Beautiful beautiful love his gospel how can you ever doubt the lord when he sings it like your right there Elvis was truly a god sent l get goosebumps every time l hear this loving humble but great man sing he didn’t just sing he sang thanks for sharing love you Chanel and all you do god bless you
The most beautiful voice of all times. I love Elvis’ gospel songs. I know you’re resting in Jesus’ arms, Elvis because you loved Jesus! We miss you and love you!!
So beautiful love elvis singing 🎶 gospel songs 🎵 a very god loving man was elvis loved this great choice definitely beautiful elvis looking stunning 👍♥️ thanks John 👍♥️🙏🎶🎶🎸🎤❤❤more gospel please John 😊 from elvis 👍🎶🎶👑🕺much love ❤ and godless from Barbara UK 🇬🇧 ❤ 👑🎶🕺🙏🎵beautiful ❤ 👌
Great song choice, great review and a great gospel album. I'm not religious myself, but you can not dispute the exceptional passion, emotion and feeling he delivers when singing this genre of music. When I have a stressful day, these songs are just the most soothing. Elvis truly was a vocal genius and this genre of songs that he delivers is unintentionally overlooked by so many people, who would be in complete awe if they heard them.
Let's just saying an Elvis will always be the king no matter what his rhythm and blues hits rock and roll I was listening to Moody blue his last CD there's some sound something there that are on Elvis answered with a Tom Jones song which has the think he did a Duo on stage with Tom Jones I want thinks I'm never fall in love again Tom and him were very close friends and we still miss Elvis so much AKA Elvis Junkie that was more of one of Elvis's country albums but there were a couple singers on there and I didn't catch the first time around didn't realize it wasn't Elvis's voice until I took it as turn it some of them way on down what's my favorite song I'm his last CD and I believe it went to number three The Moody Blues CD itself because it was the last CD that we would get from Elvis I just run out of words to John one man be so talented and at the same time lose so much of his talent being too generous two other people Laura Bexley
I'm Lisa Marie Presley's age. My mom introduced me to Elvis while I was in the womb. I remember listening to Elvis at three years old. My mom started me off on his gospel album, "Crying in the Chapel." This song/album is stunning. His voice is as perfect as perfect can be in this world. His passion and conviction for the Lord is very evident. Thank you.

When I hear Elvis singing Gospel music, it is just so heavenly, & I love your Reaction to it. Take My Hand, Precious Lord is another one that I love. It’s just so beautiful & Elvis sings it so tenderly. If you haven’t heard it, please do listen, as I’m sure you will enjoy it.
Great reaction John to a superb performance of a song in a genre Elvis seemingly preferred throughout his career. The backing group is indeed The Jordanaires and the song was recorded at the end of October 1960, the year he came out of the army. Interestingly the film Elvis which you were in 2 minds about seems to be attracting a massive thumbs up in many quarters and perhaps a new generation might eventually give this one a listen ..
Hi John, "His Hand In Mine" is indeed a beautiful gospel song by Elvis Presley. My favorite Elvis gospel songs are "Help Me", "How Great Thou Art", "In The Garden", "Life", "Miracle of the Rosary", "Sing You Children", "Somebody Bigger Than You And I", "Stand By Me", "Where No One Stands Alone" and "Without Him". In my opinion, the best gospel music is Elvis' gospel music.
I love your reactions. You don't interfere with the music and you have excellent comments. I am of big fan of your channel and a huge Elvis fan. Thanks so much!! 💖🔥💖🔥
John, even if you were an athirst you would still be drawn into into Elvis's golden vocals, there is not one single gospel song that I dont like, it would be near impossible to draw up a list of your top ten, keep well and safe.
Imagine Elvis' impact on the whole world if he went into ministry to be a singing preacher. And yes, the Jordanaires backed him up on this beautiful Southern gospel number, in fact, on the entire album the song is from, of the same title, produced in 1960
Thank you thank you thank you John for his hand in mind I've always thought that was such a beautiful song the album came out in 1960 and I'm not sure but I do know that Scotty and Bill are playing in there I'm not quite sure about that let's check it out the chorus Boots Randolph I don't know if you remember who he was but he was a top saxophone player he's on that and I believe I'm not sure that that was Elvis's first album on gospel then there was how great there are and then he touched me I'm not sure if there's any a fourth or not and I'm going to look up and say I believe there was a I'm not sure if it was just the Jordan airs somebody said something about the Imperials but I know JD summer and then well they started with Elvis in Vegas and 70s wasn't that I don't know but I'll check out further for you I'm sure somebody else in the comments is going to give you the right answers but thank you so much for my song and my next request haha that I'll be waiting for it's a song that I've never ever heard before called the the last farewell and a song called Babe b a b e I will check out the history to help you out more with it you're my best friend on RUclips so I feel like I can just talk and tell you anything I want kind of like a great grandma I am AKA Elvis Junkie

Great song and reaction! The back-up singers on this were The Jordanaires and Millie Kirkham (aka the fifth Jordanaire and The Nashville Soprano). Ray Walker was the bass singer for The Jordanaires. It was the Jordan airs singing with him and the bass singer was JD Summer
A little trivia: J.D. Sumner and The Stamps didn't start singing with Elvis until 1971. This song was released in 1960.
Hi again John, Have you ever heard Elvis' 1964 movie song "There's a Brand New Day on the Horizon".
It's such a beautiful, catchy, uplifting, inspiring and underrated gem. It's my all-time favorite Elvis song.
It's from Elvis' 1964 movie "Roustabout". I guarantee that you would love that very little known about song.
