I'm sorry for the inadequate visuals in this video.

I have just listened to 8 interviews with Roland (extraordinare) Orzabal, and when finished, all I could think of was the song "Heaven, I'm in Heaven and my heart beats like a puppet on a string"
can't help it,I love the guy

Right, I agree with all you said!
The Elemental album is a masterpiece of great music, by the way (including the b-sides). Thank you again :)

I'm sure, Natalie is thrilled to have this up on YT now ... ;) ... The "Room 628/Badman's Song" story is priceless ...

@spinalcrackerbox Thank you. I agree with you. Roland is wonderful and is very fortunate to be able to have a catharsis through his artistic expertise and sense of humor. :)

@ycdtotv2001 Thank you for the nice comment! This was on the Internet as "part 1-4". So, as you said, the show was probably much longer. Let us wish someone has the entire show and will upload it.

Ah, why do they always ask him about Badman's Song, I already know. He never talked on Mr. Pessimist. Let him explain! Oh well, but I think it's close to BIDA. "Time and decay, no man is immortal", to me he's referring to the pessimist as s.o. who can't accept everything in the universe is cyclical. Also, I remember Roland describing himself as suited to cynicism, it reminds me of "the cynical flame". Kinda antireligious, I think, but very spiritual in a sense. Thank you so much for the upload!

Thank you for all your kind and meaningful words! :) And I really appreciate your helpful interpretations to deal with that great but bit pandra's box-like song. I agree with you about Elemental album. One's blood rushes when listening to that album. :) Thank you!

Thank you very much for your wonderful comment! :) Your line "he's referring to the pessimist as s.o. who can't accept everything in the universe is cyclical." was a revelation to me and I agree with you so much! Yes, Christianity has a way of making human souls immortal by creating a place called "heaven", which might've felt a bit too rhetorical to him to believe in. "cynical flame" sounds really to-the-point to describe Roland who has an artistic oxymoron aspect in a good sense. Thank you!

@spinalcrackerbox Thank you :) I'm sorry if I'm wrong but many say that Leonard Apple tour and Live Kings tour are two of their best monumental tours. What more could one ask for if you had attended at least one of them..! Hats off!

@darkallie11 Thank you for the wonderful tip! She looks gorgeous chatting with Roland! But upon the camera's flash, he seems very quick to retrieve a serious look. :) And he looks wonderful too!

@spinalcrackerbox Thank you for the precious information about which concert Roland's mentioning. It's no wonder why all the tour crews had a frenzied frolic party after performing to as many as 9,000 audience! Such a huge epic milestone. Once again, thank you for the tip!

@bunarbashi I tend to think that when there is a day off in the schedule the crew tends to get a bit bored and then starts partying :) ... I actually do remember the summer of '85 quite well. I visited Vancouver, BC and Seattle that June and TFF were HUGE on the radio and on MTV. This was when "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" was # 1 for 2 weeks, followed by "Shout" for 3, less than one month later!

  • @bunarbashi

@spinalcrackerbox Thank you very much for the fantastic comment! And thank you for leading me to a more correct understanding about this. Yes I agree with you. They most certainly had a frolic time on the night 'before' the day they were going to perform a gig.
By the way, you are so fortunate to have actually felt the massive fever of SFTBC on the continent of the 2nd most TFF's concerts held in '85!!

@MW3CODism Thank you for the nice comment. You're wonderful! "Elemental" album abounds in beautiful haunting songs. :) By the way, much respect to you... It's not widely known that Curt had an interview at Knebworth. It'd be fantastic and kind of you if you get around to obtain and upload it! Not too many interviews available around this tour..

@bunarbashi Unfortunately, I didn't have a chance to see them live then as we were on the opposite coasts and even if we had been on the same one, I probably could not have gotten a ticket or had the time. Anyway, I only had to wait 11 more years ;)
