Driving to Oulu Finland From Lapland

- hey guys this is just a video to demonstrate the difference of driving in lapland compared to Oulu Finland, this drive was a total of 10 hours
5 hour to get to Oulu and 5 more hours to return to Lapland
driving was quite simply as the only issue would be water on the road and rain gently failing. the difference covered was mentioned in the video

5 hours is a long time but not that long. Try driving from Parainen Finland where I live to Tromsø Norway straight and only take a break to eat and go to the bathrooms and if you need to fil up your car with gas thats it really that’s approximately 18 hours drive straight. No stop for hotel to sleep. 😊 love the video
This is a little bit funny to me because I was in Oulu for two weeks and my friend and I took a train TO Lapland. Finland is so pretty.

It's a really pity that there aren't any kind of train connections to Sodankylä. 🙁 It would just be much more convenient than having to drive many hours to get to Rovaniemi, for example.
BTW, kinda hypnotic video at that speed. 😵💫
Oh, I think I saw you drive by my late grandpa's and grandma's house and the house my dad grew up in in Kemijärvi 🥺❤️ Thank you for sharing this video, it's been so long since I've been there. Come visit Helsinki again also one day. I'm sure there's still much for you to see here. But hats off for actually living up there so far north!

You had quite a road trip. I have driven that same road several times, but never in winter. Did you know that the motorway between Kemi and Tornio is the northernmost motorway in the World?
