If I hadn't seen your video's last year I still would be sitting on my 44 year old ass. Now, I'll be there on the mountain with UTMB to feel the atmosphere, and planning if its possible to attend the OCC next year. Thanks so much for the inspiration!
You may not win this UTMB but man you make the training look so much fun and good to see you so relaxed about it, good lesson for us weekend warriors who set out for long runs are afraid to stop and take in the views , inspirational man
Nice my son is a counselor at the Boulder Running camp..Just came off Magnolia Road earlier today..Very cool to see your video..Always a fan.. you do a great job!!
Thanks for uploading dude. Your hell of a guy and you keep me motivated. I bought your marathon training plan, I'm hoping it helps me reach the 2:40-2:30 mark. Thank you.
Hey Sage, I am just getting into long distance running. Been an athlete all of my life, ran quite a bit with sports and working as a helicopter rappeller with the Forest Service and fighting fires, but now getting into long distance and trail running. (hoping to do my first marathon this year). Anyways, I have been loving my New Balance 880 v7's which are a neutral shoe. I am looking for a trail shoe, and was wondering if you had any recommendations based on me liking the New balance 880 soo much? Any help is very much appreciated! Love watching your youtube videos! very inspiring! Thank you soo much for your time!
What do you carry when you go up into the high country? I once had to make breakfast in a snowstorm on the Fourth of July in Wyoming while camping in the Rockies, so I know how quickly conditions can change. How to you keep yourself safe while training in the back country?
I don't mind a little mud when I'm running, but I've not really raced, or ran, through a stream or creek like those. Do you stop to change socks after your feet get that wet? Are the Speeds GOAT's one of those shoes with drains built into them so they don't pool water?
Wear running socks made with nylon, polyester, etc that will dry fast and stay in place. No need to change socks or shoes. I always wear two pair of socks and rarely have any blisters. Also helps cushion the foot a little more. If it is colder, your feet warm up much faster than your hands.
What is the camera you used on your selfie stick? It has better stabilization than my camera mounted on my chest while running. My shots are all shaky whether stabilzation is turned on or off.
TheMoonSeesMe Why exactly? Will be his first 'race' using poles, not first time... Mocko is on the case getting some sorted for training by the sounds of his latest video...
Training for the first time *ever* using them. Sage used them last year after trying them for a bit - he isn't using them this year. There could be some value is understanding why Sage is not tying them again.

Sage, what kind of drone do you have and where in Colorado are you allowed to use it ?
You may need to have a chat with Chris Mocco - he is looking at using poles for the first time on UTMB and this could be a costly mistake for him.

So the obstacle avoidance on the Mavic is shit.

Jacob Landon there are still lots of cool epic trails on the beastcoast they're just different. Less altitude but still really cool
