  • Not all butt or glute pain is piriformis syndrome.
We define "Piriformis syndrome" as a sciatic nerve entrapment at the piriformis.
Failure to identify the exact spot of sciatic nerve entrapment will cause a chronic butt pain person to stay in chronic pain and never find permanent pain relief.
Here's how an Adheson Release Methods provider can tell.

I have been reading up on manual adhesion release. Do you have any recommendations of clinicians that do this in Australia, specifically Victoria if possible. Nothing's coming up on a Google search.

Any trained practitioners in the Los Angeles area? I’ve had so many diagnoses (and misdiagnoses) for my chronic glute/hip pain from hip arthritis to spinal stenosis to “true” piriformis syndrome to SI Joint Dysfunction, well, you get the picture. The only treatment that gave me lasting relief was a hydrodissection to break up adhesions around my sciatic nerve. A second hydrodissection attempt added no further relief, but the relative success (75% relief) of the first HD did point to the correct diagnosis of adhesions being the culprit. A pain management doctor brought 25% of the pain back by insisting on trying more steroid injections and then suggesting a spinal stimulation device. No! It’s been 8 years dealing with this pain, and I went from being an athlete and martial artist to remaining veritably disabled. I’ve been disappointed by chiropractors who promised so much on intake, but soon decide that painfully jumping up and down on my hip until it “pops” over and over might eventually work. It never did.
