Vocals yes, great. I just want to know how she dropped all that weight and has transformed herself. Was it diet or surgery. She is gorgeous.
@@lorebay2593 surgery and diet, she was at that time beautifull and still is today. I think Jenifer Holliday is by far the best voice now in this planet. The other amazing voices are not here in this days, Jeniffer is a classic afroamerican gift. Pure soul music ,a masterpiece, like esquivel or many others.

I saw this with my grandmother Jean, my mom Heather and Lloyd Ogilvies wife Mary Jane. A concert I will never forget. The history leading up to this was quite interesting indeed. Jennifer Holliday blew me away!
This was an awesome Gospel Music special! Luther Vandross was amazing. I was watching this live back in 1987, and had it on VHS tape for years, but lost my tape in a house fire. I'm glad to find this special again!!

@@claudiatisdale3819 In what part of my comment did I suggest that I was jealous? You're just putting random words in my mouth. All I'm sayin is that we're living in a world where singers who may have started in Gospel music but then later transitioned to "Baby baby" this and "Baby baby" that get ALL the medals, ALL the awards, and ALL the honorable mentions, but when you come across Christian singers who live their entire LIVES to serve the Lord, and are full of equal talent, do they get appreciated? NO!!! Am I, a Christian, down with that? No!!! The only thing you can call me "jealous" about is that sometimes it seems like those who are completely sold out for Jesus in their lives AND in their music careers hardly get enough appreciation, mainly BECAUSE they sing about Jesus (and that's apparently offensive). To me it's not fair because they are JUST as musically talented as the secular folk! Does this mean I don't appreciate Paul, Jennifer and Luther? No! They are incredible singers. However, I would love them even more if they and a WHOLE list of other celebs decided to fully turn their musical gifts over to the one who GAVE them their gifts to begin with, as in Jesus. You get my point now? Oh, and by the way, I gave those other artists a shoutout for two reasons. 1: I grew up listening to them and not Luther, Jennifer, or Paul (it was a strict Christian home, that's why), and 2: Almost everyone in the comments section are only talking about Luther and Jennifer's performances, so I'm just giving respect to the others too. Anything wrong with that? Anyway, God bless you!
