Thanks for this review! Wanted to share an interesting factoid: Amyris pharmaceuticals, the company which formed from a lab at UC Berkeley, discovered the process for manufacturing squalane and hemisqualane derived from sugar cane. Amyris owns both Biossance and JVN. Jonathan is the celebrity ambassador for Biossance and the founder of JVN hair, so it’s no surprise that these ingredients are so heavily pushed in both companies’ products and marketing. Amyris also owns Pipette and Rose Inc. FYI a lot of Pipette products are actually dupes for Biossance 😊
The Air Dry Cream (not reviewed here) is GREAT for wavy/curly hair. I'm obsessed with it. I greatly appreciate their efforts toward enviro friendly packaging. Every company should be prioritizing this. The tubes work great with the roll up key they sell.
I got a deluxe tube of it from the Sephora Bazaar, and I have to say I liked it more than any other ‘air dry’ product I’ve tried before. My hair is naturally baby fine and frizzy, and I let it air-dry for most washes since i get too much damage from heat drying, so finding a usable air-dry product was a nice surprise. Usually I enjoy using the Kerastase Blond Absolu Cicaplasme hair primer as an air-dry Cream; it detangles well without leaving my hair limp. The JVN air dry cream is a lot less expensive. I don’t use any other JVN products, as my hair loves silicones.
The air dry cream is great but, fyi, it's hailed by many curly haired influencers who do diffuse their hair so it definitely works if you don't air dry. That includes me.
Thanks for the video. I use to avoid silicones as per CGM but Manes by Mell provided a great explanation on why silicones are not bad. You just need to know how to treat them. She uses science in her explanation like your self. Oils and butters can provide product build up just like silicones, you just need to clarify as needed. Since I have been doing that on a biweekly or monthly basis as needed, I haven’t had an issues with silicones. I have been enjoying AG Hair Care. They have great packaging now. I also like Verb. Not sure if you have tried either brand.
I hate Everyone hating on silicones they’re really good for the hair my hair would be a dry frizzy mess I didn’t use silicones I don’t even think I could brush through my hair I tried silicone free conditioners they don’t work for my hair
Yeah, I feel like I lost a decade (and my best years) of potentially beautiful curls by believing people who said that SLS and silicones were the devil’s ingredients.
The amount of work you put in to your reviews is literally everything. I trust all of your recommendations and appreciate your hard work and transparency
Thank you for this review - I started using the prewash scalp oil recently and really like it! All of the products smell nice and feel gentle on my hair...and I noticed they weren't outrageously expensive at Sephora too. 👍🤗
Can you give us a review for the Aveda line? I have always been curious about their plant based claims and if they are beneficial for the hair. As always, LOVE your reviews ❤
I have used Aveda for almost 30 years. However most all of the products which made them great with cult followings have been discontinued. The new products have made my fine colored hair a mess. First time in years I will buy different line than Aveda. The reviews on their website also are not good at all!
@@kimhwood I agree with you. The Aveda products I loved 20 years ago are all gone. My hairstylist sold me their whole hydration line a couple of years ago when she was working out of an Aveda salon, and it left my hair a limp greasy disgusting mess. The phomollient mousse was legit terrible and useless. I used to love their volume booster mist so much, but now it doesn’t volumize my hair anymore. I find Davines is way more effective and like Aveda used to be, but nowadays I’m leery of any ‘clean’ haircare and Davines is so overpriced (their hair masks are amazing though). I’m currently using the Native Essence shampoo bars, and really like them. But I tried them out as I was having issues with itchy scalp, and wanted to see if my shampoo was the problem. Hard water mineral buildup in my hair is a real issue where I live, I have to chelate once or twice a month.
Thanks for this! My partner and I have both been using JVN products and really liking them, but I took some of the language and claims made with a grain of salt as I am always turned off by "clean" claims. To note, though, I have very thin and fine hair that does well with squalane while silicones can often be too heavy for me.
Have you tried The Ordinary’s Hemi Squalane? It’s just the pure oil, for like $4 a bottle. A little goes a long way, my bottle lasts forever. Works amazingly well as a serum for both hair and skin, I always keep a bottle in my skincare arsenal.
Thanks for this objective review of the brand sweetie 😊 I would love to hear next about scalp care. My scalp is often tight and uncomfortable and I am a bit loss on what I can do to soothe the skin there without weighting down my thin/fine hair 😑 I really trust your opinion 😊
Yes, scalp care please! I suffer from seborrheic dermatitis so I'd love to see how you recommend dealing with scalp conditions while maintaining healthy hair
i have the pre scalp oil, embody shampoo, and conditioner and i’ve enjoyed the experience. i’ve used these products since november and my hair has been so smooth!
Just repurchased their air dry cream and I’m very happy with it. I have wavy hair that can be frizzy, and it’s lightweight and helps my hair look a little more smooth without weighing it down. I figured the hemisqualane was just squalane…
The Ordinary came out with a hemisqualane product years before Biossance and JVN existed. In my experience Hemiqualane penetrates the skin faster and deeper than squalane, so it’s good for fine and/or thin hair and it feels good on the skin. Skin Biology has been selling an olive-plant based squalane product since the early 2000’s, it’s also good!
Sometimes im reminded how unique everyone’s wants and needs are. I have non bleached thin strands so I love the purple line for my uses of feeling soft and smooth hair without it feeling greasy or weighed down and funny enough I’m obsessed with the scent (I don’t smell licorice hahah) like obsessed where I was searching hoping he made a hair mist in the scent lol. Love the ingredients breakdown vs claims.
I can totally understand that! I have ‘weird hair’ that doesn’t seem to want to conform to a category, plus I bleach it (highlights) and color my roots to hide the grays. My hair thrives on soluble silicones and dies of frizz overload whenever I use a silicone free product. Plus it’s fine and thin, so anything made with plant oils makes it whither in limpness and greasiness. I wasn’t able to use any JVN products, although I do like the air-dry cream as long as I use a silicone conditioner beforehand.
I had high hopes for this line, dried my hair and made it unmanagable! Tried shampoo conditioner leave in and oil!!! Almost every drugstore product (silicone free or w silicone) were better for my hair. I like the sustainability aspect.
It’s so funny- SEEN haircare, which I use because it’s fragrance free, uses “hemisqualane” in all of their products and call it “nature’s answer to silicone” but they don’t make all the extra crazy claims about it. And I think they were around before JVN
I've used seen ,and although it really helped my scalp to get rid of seborrheic dermatitis, it left my hair sooo dry even with conditioner. So if this shampoo is similar to this, then I definitely won't be purchasing.
I use all JVN products for my haircare routine currently - agree with almost everything you stated! Will continue to use the instant recovery serum and post shower leave in products, but might look elsewhere for shampoo/conditioner options. I like them but just feel like my hair doesn't last as long and look as good in between washes.
Hi Abbey, thank you for this review. I trust your advice (I can tell you're genuine and honest). I use your haircare routine. I am seeing my hair can't always wait 7 days to be washed. It will need it twice a week-especially if I'm going somewhere special. You've mentioned you're needing to wash more often. Will you give us your hair routine with washing more often. Thank you for your hard work, which we benefit from. You're an inspiration.
You’re not alone. I need to wash my scalp twice a week, or else it gets really itchy. I think you need to find what works for your own body chemistry, it’s not a once size fits all. I know she uses a clarifying shampoo when she washes once a week, if you’re washing twice a week then you would once use that clarifying shampoo every second wash. Using a clarifying shampoo twice a week is too much.
I wouldn't recommend the brand to anyone sensitive to fragrance. I washed my hair and used the air dry creme once but the fragrance gave me a headache so I ended up rewashing my hair to get rid of the smell and returning the products.
Im using the hemi squalene from the ordinary for over a year now on my hair as an overnight treatment before washdays. Works really well and is super affordable 😁
Yes! I’ve been buying TO’s Hemi-squalane for years now, way before Biossance and JVN even existed. It’s very affordable and effective for both hair and skin. It’s also fantastic for when my skin barrier gets irritated. JVN and Biossance acting like they’re innovating by using hemi-squalane in their products is cringey. 🙄people need to know it’s an extremely cheap ingredient that you can easily purchase on its own.
I love Jonathan! Having said that, I don't feel like I'd want to buy any of these products. Thanks as always for your thorough reviews, Abbey. Have a great week 💞
I'm a research scientist and I often search for specific clinical trials. Just spent about 20 minutes searching and cannot find anything registered about hemisqualane in either the skincare or haircare space in either North America or Europe. Very unsure what the brand means by their "clinical" claims....
I’m so glad you are reviewing this, so detailed. I’ve seen so much on TikTok and agree silicone is something my hair really kind of need. I’d love if you could review the bioprogramming devices any of the hairbeaurons, Japanese product but there is an American retailer that sells it and it is completely zero hair damage from all their devices, so blow dryer, hair straightener, curler etc, also their Albage (zero damage bleach, but harder to test), I know madison beers hair dresser uses their devices but haven’t seen anyone on RUclips really review it, I’d love your thoughts on them ❤
The only product I've tried by JVN is the Complete Hydrating Air Dry Hair Cream. I love this cream so much! It really helps to air dry my hair really nice when I don't want to heat style.
I've been interested in trying this product. I have thin, fine, wavy hair that's very prone to frizz. In fact, I literally never blow dry my hair because it only makes it frizzier lol. My hair is so finicky that I'm always scared to waste money on more expensive products, but I've heard a lot of good things about the Air Dry cream, so I think I'll give it a shot.
Thanks Abby!! I didn't know you washed twice a week! I missed that! I thought you were a once a week washer. ( I don't know how you did that, it looks like a lot of maintenance between washes!)
I like your honest review of the products! Unfortunately nowadays, I actually almost refuse to buy products from brands that do the whole clean marketing-thing. Also if they're demonizing silicones and other well researched ingredients. Just puts me off.
Completely agree with you. It’s like a bunch of companies all received the same report from futurologists than ‘clean beauty’ would be the new trend in the late 2010’s and 2020’s, and they all mindlessly jumped on the bandwagon including Sephora which is absolutely disgusting. What they forgot to predict was that at the same time beauty consumers would also become a LOT more savvy and question the veracity of the bogus ‘clean beauty’ claims!! Not to mention the negative experiences of clean beauty products spoiling and going moldy before you have the chance to use them all up, which is extremely wasteful and bad for the environment. I love to sit back and watch how savvy beauty consumers have become compared to when I was young! I was a beauty junkie since the 90’s, and back then we were few and far between that were reading studies and questioning formulations. I love you all to bits my beauty savvy fam haha 😅
I’ve been using the ordinary Hemi-squalane on my hair for a couple years now and I love it since it’s too light on my face but perfect on my hair. And it’s only $3-$4 for a 30ml bottle.
Hemi squalane is sold by the Ordinary as well as squalane. It's a thinner version than squalane. I tried it as well as squalane and I much prefer squalane for its moisturize/soften/ benefits. Both feels light but only squalane benefits my hair and skin. The thinner texture in my opinion and experience does not bring anything superior but the opposite.
The leave in conditioning mist does claim to work as a heat protectant, but since you said it doesn’t does that mean there’s no ingredients or anything in it that actually do as it claims?
My hair is super healthy now and I’ve been pretty obsessed with my curls for about 16yrs now and with my fine hair I get over moisturized and weighed down easily so maybe that is why I love the JVN products so much. 🤷🏽♀️
I think these products are great for curly/wavy, fine hair. I like them too and have similar hair! I like the Embody shampoo and conditioner and the air dry cream a lot.
This brand actually isn't the first I've heard of hemisqualane. The brand Seen also highlights it as a star ingredient in their hair products which are marketed for consumers acne-prone skin, and it is also apparently a star ingredient in Tia Mowry's new drugstore hair care line as an alternative to silicones. It might be the latest trendy ingredient, sort of like how niacinamide took over skincare for a bit. Those with low-porosity hair tend to prefer silicone-free products for good reason, so silicone alternatives in hair care like hemisqualane do have their place outside of the clean beauty movement.
Wish hair care brands would stop conflating ingredients that work on skin with ingredients good for the hair without supporting that claim with actual data. I think it's confusing because an ingredient might work well on skin but do nothing for hair.
As a hairstylist and formula junky I would disagree. Scientificallly it makes sense. Biotin would still adhere for elasticity and softness, not just thickness. And if someone can hawk k18’s 1990s peptide with wheat protein as a product I don’t see an issue with biotin. 💀
@@travistroxell2542 So far have not seen scientific evidence that biotin penetrates the hair shaft or that it can cause hair to grow. Perhaps one day that will change but for now I wouldn't buy a product because it contains biotin.
Hey Abbey! Thank you so much for this review. I have been using the Pre-Scalp Oil for a few months now, since I struggle with a flaky scalp, even though I have an oily scalp too. It has made a huge difference!
i have the volumizing shampoo and the strengthening conditioner. they're not terrible but they're definitely not impressive. i'm just glad that out of all the hair care products at sephora, these aren't too expensive lol.
Thank you for this video. It confirms what I suspected but didn’t know why. I love JVN so I really wanted to love his products too, but the nurture line actually made my hair feel drier! I appreciate your videos so much.
@@embodiedsinger436 India Batson has at least one video showing how she uses the air dry cream on her RUclips channel! It does add a little texture, almost like a salt spray but not as extreme.
The conditioning mist didn’t work for me but it worked amazingly for my 5-year old! Haha I’d agree the Recovery serum is one of their best products. I want a candle and hair perfume in their conditioning mist smell. So good!
I think silicone free is good for people with natural curls who want to air dry them. I used to be silicone free because I hated the build up, and the older shampoos which removed it were SOOOO stripping. Now that we have shampoos like K18 Detox - that remove build up with out stripping - I use silicones liberally. Thanks Abby!
As someone with natural curls that sometimes air dries I can say that silicones help a lot in keeping my hair from frizzing out. I agree you have to be careful to use a real shampoo and can’t just cowash but since curly hair can be more fragile and needy silicones are super important to prevent damage when brush styling and help with inevitable effects of just living life.
Thanks for the review! Can you do a review on Unite Hair at some point? I Love their 7 seconds line, but would love to know if its beneficial for my hair!
abbey i would LOVE to see you review other youtuber brands - X Mondo haircare, ITK by Brooklyn & Bailey for skincare i would love to see. been wanting to try both of them but want your input first 😂❤️
I really like your straightforward, clear review. I so appreicate that it wasn't full of a lot of fluff. Just give it to me straight-and you did! Thanks!
I’ve been curious about this brand! Thanks about covering it. By the way have you watched the Blowout Professor’s RUclips channel? He disagrees with your shampoo technique of emulsifying it in your hands before washing.
I like the pre-wash oil. I put it on a couple hours before showering and it gets washed out during shampoo. I like the bisoprolol and rosemary ingredient for a scalp treatment.
Hi Abbey! Once again you made an excellent review. I love watching your videos. I always learn a lot. Could you please review Kevin Murphy? Is it worth it?! Thank you so much for all your work.
I would love to get your assessment of Nioxin shampoo and conditioner. I’m curious about the ingredients, as I’ve been using it exclusively for about a year and it has regrown a decent amount of hair, and my strands have never been softer or shinier. I’m also using the Elizavecca treatment and the WOW shine spray thanks to you! Great recommendations!
Just came across your channel. Thank you so much for beinf so thorough. I've silicone for years in shampoo as i was told it would help my hair not get oily. I've never noticed a positive difference, if anything it has made my hair ends more dry.
I have had some real hits with JVN hair personally - the shampoo and the conditioner, but especially that complete conditioning mist. But I do use it a little differently, I prefer to use it between washes on dry hair, when my hair needs a little bit of extra moisture. I spray onto my hands and comb through with my fingers, then brush out. When I use it this way I really love that my hair immediately feels soft and silky but not greasy or weighed down at all. I am in total agreement though that brands really need to stop demonising other products or ingredients in order to hype up their own - The misinformation is not good!
Silicones being bad for the environment and aquatic life are not just made up claims. They’re very true. Microplastics and nano plastics are a problem.
@@travistroxell2542 that's a different claim though, I've only seen people saying it's bad for your hair, coats it with a film, damages it etc. Not what I was talking about at all.
I think you were being so generous in saying the brand isn't intentionally trying to be misleading. I think that while JVN is a wonderful person himself, his brand, like all brands, are trying to sell product and make money at the end of the day and being misleading if just a part of that process. The unfortunate thing about clean beauty is that these brands would all likely be highly aware of the misinformation but since there are very little regulatory policies on how they label their products, they would also know that they can easily make claims of misinformation and get away with it. Meanwhile, most consumers are not aware of science but are aware of the buzz words in 'clean' beauty and would buy it up without doing research like you. This is why I am appreciative of your channel because in this little corner of the internet, your research and knowledge is impacting your reach and has improved the health of hair in so many, including myself. Thanks for your dedication!
Great vid! I’ve heard so much about this brand and I always wondered if it was just hype. Btw, habe you tried haircare from Lush, Would love to hear your opinion/experience with this brand.
I LOVE the JVN advance serum!! Thank you for reviewing since I wanted to try other JVN products. Would love to hear your thoughts and review for Phillip Kingsley and Rene Furtier products, too!! Thanks Abbey 😊❤
Loved seeing you review these products. My favorite is the scalp oil. I love using it on my scalp and ends before washing. I would love to hear your thoughts on the brand Anomaly. It's a drugstore brand, super affordable and they have the best dry shampoo!
I've been using the line for a month. It has helped my hair loss. I wash my hair every 3 days . I have normal, thinning hair, and I like the line so far. Is it life changing? No. But it's nice. I might go back to my Redken shampoo. Haven't found one favorite shampoo yet.
Thanks for always giving us such a thorough review! I've only tested their air dry cream, instant recovery serum, and pre-wash scalp drops. I like the air dry cream for my wavy hair which I've repurchased. Still, I wouldn't say that it's better than my favorite curl cream that leaves my hair better hydrated, frizz-free, and shinier. But I just like to have options. I also like the instant recovery cream. Actually, that one and the air dry cream together gives even lovelier results on my hair. The pre-wash scalp drops I feel make my scalp too oily. Even though I follow instructions I find that it doesn't wash off easily from my scalp. I have a normal scalp, and whenever I use it my hair gets greasy quicker after washing. So I've reserved it for once or twice-a-month scalp treatment and for the lengths of my hair.
hi abbey! I’d love to see you do a video all about your favorite hair care products that contain silicones! That would be helpful for me and many others :)
I love using the blowout styling milk with my Shark Flexstyle!! Overall I'm impressed with JVN's line. Wouldn't reach for the shampoos or conditioners but the rest of the products seem great
I used the JVN Air Dry Cream to style my naturally wavy hair. It didn’t really do anything that the air wouldn’t do by itself and did not hold in my curl. I prefer the MOP Curl Defining Cream.
So… do these companies not know that they’re being misleading to customers when they make false claims? Or are they fully aware there making false claims but no one’s here to hold him accountable so they just do it? I appreciate you giving us the straight story!
Thank you for this review! I felt the same way about it. Can you review Virtue hair care? I love the virtue flourish line, but I would love to know your thoughts about the company!
Love this review! I have long, fine, naturally dark blonde hair and was quite excited to try JVN. I have the volume shampoo, instant recovery, air dry cream, blowout milk and shine drops and have watched all of his tutorials on how to use them! Pros: The instant recovery serum is DEFINITELY the winner, it's really lightweight and works great for a quick hydrating refresh on post-wash days. The shampoo definitely makes my hair feel and look much thicker for a day or two and has really helped with some scalp irritation I was getting from a coconut oil based natural shampoo. I can also go without washing my hair for much longer than any other that I've tried (about 4-5 days). Cons: I also don't see any significant difference from the blowout milk, especially in conjunction with instant recovery. I've blow-dried with and without the milk and don't see a difference. The air-dry cream doesn't seem to do very much other than make my hair harder to brush and the shine drops are fine but even 1 or 2 drops are slightly too greasy for my personal needs. I will definitely be buying the shampoo again and instant recovery is my new favourite, but not rushing on the others.
"Except penetrate the hair shaft, which isn't a problem". But that is exactly the difference they are claiming hemisqualene has. So that is in fact, the main problem. I don't see anything wrong with silicones as long as you are able to clarify and remove them as needed. It seems that hemisqualene works in a different way to achieve essentially the same effects of a silicone, without build up. My understanding is that hemisqualene provides these benefits from the inside out, while silicone provides them by protecting and coating the hair on the outside, which is still great, as long as it doesn't build up too much and lead to hair drying out, because it does not allow any moisture in. I've been using Pantene Pro-V Avocado Conditioner for many years, which has silicones, because it is affordable and provides the detangling I need- I cannot brush through my hair without it, It makes my hair feel soft and smooth for a short time. I didn't know until recently that silicones require clarification. I don't shampoo every time I wash my hair, because I have yet to find one that doesn't dry my hair out excessively. I have found that my scalp has build up, and has become irritated over the years- which I think is from the silicones in my hair products, and never knowing to properly clarify them out. My hair is also dry, despite numerous leave in creams and treatments. I think the silicones in my conditioner are making it hard for any other product to penetrate my hair effectively. So no, silicones aren't awful in themselves, however, for each benefit, it seems they come with a problem as well. Long term, I wonder if hemisqualene is a better option that doesn't build up. Does it actually penetrate the hair and make it healthier over time? The chart should only have penetrate hair shaft as a difference, or explain how hemisqualenes work differently from silicones to achieve each goal.
Glass is honestly not great to use en masse because it is very heavy to transport and therefore uses more greenhouse gases. Sand is also not an unlimited resource so unless that is recycled glass, not ideal. However you can buy a key for the aluminum tube so you can roll it neatly as you finish the tube.
Long time ago I used to be active on some long hair forums and there were some who did a double condition method where they used a more “natural ingredient” conditioner with no silicones containing ingredient like shea butter etc and then layer a conditioner with tons of silicones in it over top of that. Some people layered it while others rinsed and then conditioned again for the second time.
I have the volumizing hair care set, hair oil and styling lotion. They do a good job on my healthy, non damaged hair. I still prefer Oribe Gold Lust but it is significantly more expensive than JVN.
Great video! So glad you reviewed these products! And I love the cute puppy! Remind me what kind of puppy this is and what kind of puppy did you have before? He's so cute!!!
The pre-wash oil has been so good for my itchy flaky scalp. I keep it to scalp and roots while using the ogx coconut oil to lengths and ends. It definitely helps with clarifying the scalp and it has soothed my itchy flaky scalp a lot. I don’t see the need to use coconut oil to the roots since my roots are healthy and coconut oil makes them oilier so the combination works for me. I haven’t tried their shampoos but I am looking to try them since the pureology/k18 shampoos don’t cleanse my hair enough. I have deduced that my hair is thicker/oilier than yours so I adjust your recommendations to my hair type. Still love the content ❤❤
I think the most popular product of JVN’s is the air dry cream which you didn’t talk about. I didn’t think I liked it at first but when I style it for my wavy hair like a curl cream I actually really love it. Thanks for the honest review and calling out the questionable “science” claims
Thank you for this review, I was really interested in the recovery serum because there is so much hype about. You said you liked using it, my question is would you repurchase. It's quite expensive and in the UK, I am debating wether to try it or not 🤔 x
i agree, i didnt like the strength conditioner. It left my hair more tangled after a shower rather than my other favorite sephora conditioners. The softness washed off really quickly after rinsing it off.
But if silicones are bad for the environment, is it worth making your hair look better if you don’t need it in your conditioner? There seems to be debate on if silicone is bad, but anything that doesn’t break down can’t be good, right?
I've been using the prewash oil for some time now and unexpectedly, it had a very nice effect of balancing my scalp, I now can shampoo after 3 or 4 days (before I had to wash every 2 days). The benefits appeared after 2-3 weeks! I was very pleasantly suprised! (I just wanted to help hair growth when I bought it!)

So glad you’re liking it!!
Thanks for watching! I will add it to my list xx
@@AbbeyYung 😊
I love the scent too! To me it kind of smells like a men’s cologne.
I’ve been waiting for your opinion on JVN! Such a well-made video, so thoughtful and knowledgeable ❤
Thanks for watching! ❤️
Great review!! I was hoping you’d review the air-dry cream. I’ve been using it and have noticed that it holds my curls better than hairspray alone.
I think she doesn’t air-dry her hair at all.
Thanks for the warning.
I didn’t realize how much silicones helped clean my hair until I stopped using them a while then started up again. The difference is noticeable
Me too!
Love silicones!
Agreed! Silicone free products feel so cheap and make my hair feel worse
@@AbbeyYung what silicone products do you recommend?
But if you’re going to use silicones, than you need a shampoo with sulfates in it.
I’d love if you could review the bioprogramming devices any of the hairbeaurons, Japanese product but there is an American retailer that sells it and it is completely zero hair damage from all their devices, so blow dryer, hair straightener, curler etc, also their Albage (zero damage bleach, but harder to test), I know madison beers hair dresser uses their devices but haven’t seen anyone on RUclips really review it, I’d love your thoughts on them ❤
Please review the Kevin Murphy line 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thank you for the review! The only product from JVN that I’ve used so far is the air dry cream which I’ve really been enjoying.
The only product I've tried by JVN is the Complete Hydrating Air Dry Hair Cream. I love this cream so much! It really helps to air dry my hair really nice when I don't want to heat style.
I love that product too!
@@Julie-ik9cr the biggest thing for your hair, I'd say, is not to use too much. But I think you'd like it. My hair is fine too.
how do you use it? I'm not finding much success!
Thanks Abby!! I didn't know you washed twice a week! I missed that! I thought you were a once a week washer. ( I don't know how you did that, it looks like a lot of maintenance between washes!)
I also wondered about the twice a week hair wash. Wondered if I missed an update video.
As always, amazing video. Super cute pup❤❤.
Yes switched this summer!
Would love a review on the R & Co. Bleu line as I keep seeing it advertised everywhere. Thanks for your content!
agreed!
It has made a huge difference!
this is why i refuse to buy from clean beauty brands anymore. i dont want your shampoo if it doesnt have sulfates cuz my hair will just not get clean
i have the volumizing shampoo and the strengthening conditioner. they're not terrible but they're definitely not impressive. i'm just glad that out of all the hair care products at sephora, these aren't too expensive lol.
Thank you for this video. It confirms what I suspected but didn’t know why. I love JVN so I really wanted to love his products too, but the nurture line actually made my hair feel drier! I appreciate your videos so much.
I love JVN hair! The pink conditioner actually helped my damaged hair.
I like the JVN Air Dry Cream, it's really nice for heatless curls. I have wavy hair, so I do enjoy the volume I get air drying with it too.
Thank you for this! This was the one product I’ve been intrigued by as a wavy girl who doesn’t heat style.
So good!
Thx for being my Haircare and skincare bestie - what would I do without you?!
Thanks for watching 🥰
This is such an informative, honest and unbiased review!
Thanks for the review! Can you do a review on Unite Hair at some point? I Love their 7 seconds line, but would love to know if its beneficial for my hair!
Currently moving into a new flat after living in a horrible place for the first few months of living in a new city! Thanks for the company
Tried all these- no issues but wasn't wowed- but I love watching his videos- he has amazing hair- I'm still on my own journey
abbey i would LOVE to see you review other youtuber brands - X Mondo haircare, ITK by Brooklyn & Bailey for skincare i would love to see. been wanting to try both of them but want your input first 😂❤️
I reviewed tons of ITK products in a what’s new at the drugstore vid! Will check out x mondo ❤️
I haven’t! That’s fine- not everyone is going to have the same opinions 😊 but it works way better for me
I like the pre-wash oil.
The Ordinary has this Product as well....and I Love it!
Just came across your channel. Thank you so much for beinf so thorough. I've silicone for years in shampoo as i was told it would help my hair not get oily. I've never noticed a positive difference, if anything it has made my hair ends more dry.
I was staring at the volumizing shampoo in Sephora the other day; I skipped because #1 the caffiene claim and #2 the price $38 CAN
I tried a few products from this brand and my hair didn't like it. Thank goodness I tried the sample sized products.
Great review ❤ I tried several products from this line and returned them all, it didn’t do anything for my hair.
The video is amazing - but OMG still can't get enough of Elsie!! She's too insanely cute!
Thank you, Abbey! Your reviews are the best. Will you consider doing a review of the Lolavie hair products? Your pup is just so adorable, btw 🐾🥹💛
So excited for this video!!
Great review as usual!
Please we need ti hear about your favorite shine rinses
Thanks for a comprehensive review! Would love one on Goldilocks products, please.
Would love to see this type of review on Jennifer Anniston’s hair line!
Spot on with this review! I’ve tried all of these products and agree with everything u said 😊
😊❤️
Thank you for this review! I felt the same way about it. Can you review Virtue hair care? I love the virtue flourish line, but I would love to know your thoughts about the company!
Thanks for watching! Will add to my list xx
Great video - it’s great to see an objective review. I’ve tried the JVN air dry cream, it’s quite nice.
Thank you for being so honest Abbey it’s why I watch you! ❤
Thank you for this fantastic, informative, honest review!
… Sidenote I’ve really enjoyed the nurture Shampoo set, the air dry cream and blow out milk.
Great video! So glad you reviewed these products! And I love the cute puppy! Remind me what kind of puppy this is and what kind of puppy did you have before? He's so cute!!!
I wear hand tied extensions but I am very interested in hair care! I take very good care of my hair and extensions!
I like everyone can spend my money where and when I choose. Companies marketing strategy makes this a pass for me.
