I suffered headaches from childhood all the way up to age 50. I also had 20/10 vision during that time. Now I know the two are connected! Further evidence : my vision slipped to 25/20 and no more headaches! Oh yeah, great review. Sensible items!
I use mine in exactly the same way. I work in the job that can take me from a meeting to the woods in a day, so I wanted a way to carry my Pathfinder water bottle, lunch/snacks/brew kit, basic office supplies, and the 10c just-in-case. The haversack (2018 model) does it perfectly and looks good doing it. With that said, for serious hiking I use the Hidden Woodsmen scout ruck, because over long distances, or bending over, the haversack shifts more than I’d like. Nice review.
Love the intro on this video. You guys always do such nice work. With those loose cables and such, keeping them in small ziplock bags really helps. I always do that with the items I have that tend to get tangled.
@@mathurinkerbouchard8931 They also sell half sized small ziplock bags, which are perfect for those types of things. I think they call them snack bags (or something).
Excellent information! Allow me to add a tip regarding organizing the jumble of wires. Use empty toilet paper rolls! Coil the wires around your hand, and stuff the coil into the tubes! You can use a sharpie and write on the tube what's inside. I have several in the bathroom drawer, labeled toothbrush charger, razor charger, etc. Maybe, even leave a small amount of paper on the tube for emergency use!
Had my haversack when we went on vacation to DC. Had to be careful since we were going in and out of museums so it mainly held sweatshirt water bottle and other little items.
Good to see the Kansobol back. Hugh Glass was a bad ass, rightfully angry when his possibles were stolen. Nice city load out in the haversack, I tend to overpack.
Malcom is the man! I kinda liked the 2 straps for attaching stuff to the bottom of the pack but the one strap is better when not carrying items on the exterior of the bag. I guess I will know when my bag arrives. Lol Great review
That looks pretty decent. Right now I am using an old AK Drum Magazine pouch as a carrier when I have to carry stuff,, lol not very grey man but it works.. would not mind replacing it with this. More room for stuff too. Cute kitties.
You clean up pretty good for a Desert Fox...I carry 2 regular bandanas and 1 extra large bandana (instead of a shemagh) in my kit. As for reading material, I carry a small booklet containing the Constitution and my rights as a citizen.
I have one in OD green and I think these bags are great yours is a little upgraded with Velcro I must have an older version or cheaper but still I’m very happy.
A little tid bid for you:I used to eat Altoids all day long.I discovered that as they will freshen up your breath quick, but sugar breeds more bacteria which actually causes bad breath so it can be counter productive.I still like my mints and the tin is multi useful but thats my spill.lol
Thank you for making this video the haversack is awesome and thanks for showing everyday gear that's not all based around the woods the other youtubers should take notes from you there not always out in the woods but great video
I would love to see your version if a bug out bag of emergency bag I live in an apartment and I've had to leave in a hurry because of weather and I think having a ready bag is a good thing and would love to see yours
It was James all along! I like Malcolm's stuff, I like the 2 strap haversack better, only thing i would change is instead of velcro on the dust flaps have them buckled like on the day rucks.
Having two is nice especially if the straps are sewn to the back (not bottom front). That allows you to strap stuff on the bottom if the straps are long enough. Still a great product though
Nice bag, I saw the other bag review. I was going to comment on your corsage and wires but you said why. The book should be a great read because it has the woodsmen elements in it. I've seen the movie.
Good review. I'm hoping that Malcolm makes the two flap strap version available again, as large as the very first version was, but with all of the 2019 improvements. I have an original THW Haversack that I got second hand on BCUSA. I replaced the old stiff shoulder strap with the new softer strap, I added the jump handle and some velcro strap ties. It holds quite a bit more than the new one (just like this one you've reviewed here) that I got in late December. I like the velcro on the flap, the deeper front pocket, closed with a zipper instead of velcro, the MOLLE straps on the sides and I like the brighter orange interior. It's just too small to be my standard 'in the woods' bag and the single flap strap makes it much more difficult to strap a light tarp (or woobie) under the flap. I've thought about picking up one of his small day packs, but I like a cross body slung bag so I'll keep the original for my woods bag and find some other EDC use for the smaller newer Haversack. Oh and we call that 'first aid kit' an EDC 'boo boo' kit rather than a full IFAK....a few bandages, antiseptic wipes, allergy meds, benadryl, pain relievers, small tube of neosporin, maybe a single packet of Bleed Stop and small tube of super glue for most bumps and scrapes (aka boo boos) that's all we need when at the office or about town. :)
Very cool! I like the layout for everyday. Cool office scenario, I'm glad you made it in 😂 thanks for another great video, friend! Gonna take some edc bag tips from this 👍
I want to get my boots dirty but I live in Queens New York. Way too much concrete. I'm thinking about Arizona Texas or New Mexico. Any suggestions where a man can live on the land of his mother country without being harassed by the authorities?
Malcolm makes some nice gear! I really want one of his rucks. I like his older haversack because of the 2 buckles on the flap. Thanks for the awesome review!
Hey bobafet you are hilarious. Do you know that ? Love the vids man. Love the sack by the way. You always make me laugh and smile. Don't be that crusty stank breath guy lol... hilarious
no this is the exact bag you complained about, when i first got it months ago. my last 2 videos were on fishing and foraging. youre more than welcome to go watch those.

Love this bag. I have the same bag only no velcro version. Also hooked up two maxpedition barnacle pouches on each side.

Great review of the Hidden Woodsmen Haversack lots of options with this Haversack
thanks brother, i appreciate the love and support!
Really a great everyday carry. Love it. Always quality from THW.
I use one for EDC and the other for a range bag.

The suit threw me. Great review of a great product.
i enjoy playing diffrent characters in diffrent scenarios
10:55 I disagree, headphones are super important to survive when you use public transport 😀
good review James, I didn't recognize you at first in your business casual attire but the contents of the bag makes sense for urban use
Awesome video man
thanks for watching JB!

Very nice. I would be happy with one. Thank you for the review, James.. No spurs at work?
lol no i gave the spurs the day off. thanks for watching!
@@JunkyardFox James, you think those jangling spurs at the end of the last Mandalorian episode belong to Fett?
Great video on other uses for the haversack ,not just for the bush, could make the decision to buy one more reasonable .multi use
my last HW haversack review had me filing in the mountains so i decided to take the setting in a very different direction.
Nice bag!
What color is that thing?
bummer your other power bank got stolen, guess someone must have really needed the power
What do you put on your sandwich mayo, mustard or jus plain?

Who stole your power bank ? Where were you when it happened. Sounds like a great story.
lol no its not very intersting. i forgot my lunch bag at work, it was in there. wehn i went back the next day, the power bank was gone
I'm concerned with some of the stitching. It looks like it is easily frayed
i have owned hidden woodsmen gear for years and not once has the stitching ripped or come apart
Good review James. I have a older haversack you can’t go wrong with Malcolm products. Have a good one.
Batman year one?
yup!
El Paso?
yup!

WELL if i went camping with you I would care if your breath sticks 10:01 :)
You might know, Fox, since I assume you can look at the tag on the bag: Are Hidden Woddsman bags US made?
yes sir, designed and handcrafted one at a time in the usa
another commercial?
