I was watching Aston Villa's season review from 2003/04. We finished 6th level on points with Newcastle. We won 15 matches that year! We're already on 14 wins now! 🦁 👊 4 big months to go, Come on the Villa!!👊

The best way to react after the. disappointment of Newcastle. Fantastic win and three essential points to get back in the top 4. Emery was on a bit of a mad one himself with some of his reactions! He'd clearly dug deep into the players. Solid from McGinn, visionary from Dougie, classy from Tielemans etc...and Ollie Watkins encompassed all these qualities and more. We could have had 8 or 9 goals! What a finish from Leon and what a volley from Alex Moreno! Ollie's record of goals and assists is getting pretty impressive. He's one of the finest players for level of involvement in a game and, at the moment, he's the leading light on that, across five Euro leagues. He's a contender for Villa player of the season in my view, though McGinn, Luiz, Bailey and Martinez are up there too. This was a cracking response from Villa. There's a lot of hard work ahead, as we are not as accustomed as the likes of Liverpool and Man City to top 4, but showing this kind of determination will go a long way. Enjoyed seeing Diaby and Martinez handing their shirts to the fans. Great vid and a great day for the Villa boys! CMON THE VILLLLLAAAAAAA!!! 💥💥💥
Such a good win, thought it was going to be tougher than it was, it was a stroll in the park... I'm actually disapointed it was not 6 or 7. Great vid and eating two breakfasts is why you had to squeeze though those 1920s style turnstiles, people were a lot thinner then UTV

Watching from afar at home in California it was so nice to enjoy breakfast while seeing us do what top teams do to opponents in the position Sheffield Utd are. Far too many times we’ve struggled in the past in these types of games, so to see this demolition after a dreadful midweek game was so enjoyable. With all that said I wasn’t actually expecting it! The lack of guts and determination from Utd was surprising as they normally give us a hard time. That pass from Dougie for the second goal would be played on repeat by the media if it was a ‘big 6’ player. As you eluded to, a massive win which hopefully inspires two huge performances this week. Great content as always UTV!

Once voted for Kevin Gage as our player of the season (when it was done as a phone vote), he didn't win it though. He was in that Graham Taylor side (late 80s) that won promotion mostly thanks to their away form. Some great away trips back then including wins at Blues & Albion. Happy days.

I'm a newcastle fan and the second tier atmosphere is miles more intense and passionate than the top flight I travelled down tuesday to see the match and have got to say it was the quitest football ground I have been to

That performance was similar to performances we had earlier in the season when we were scoring 2 & 3 goals per game. If we can replicate this in most games we will be ok.
